At #9 and #12 in the Top 25 both Charlotte and Marshall are in the field of 48. What we are both playing for today is not only the CUSA Title but probably also a seed in the tournament.
Both schools will probably get at least 1 home game in the tournament.

Actually, the entire NCAA Men’s and Women’s Soccer Tournaments are going to be held in a bubble around Cary, North Carolina - just like the basketball tournaments were held around Indianapolis.
Had not heard they were doing a soccer bubble but it makes sense. As far as Coach Grassie's comments are concerned, what the $%^ was he supposed to say. Maybe "I come here in 2017 when Charlotte, FIU and Kentucky were running the conference. As far as I can see it we will continue to let them be the big dogs". Yeah if you believe that then you need to move on. A coach with any drive at all would have said the same thing.
When Chris Grassie took the job at Marshall in early 2017 Marshall soccer was ranked 168 out of 204 programs. Here we are in the spring of 2021 and Marshall is ranked #9 in the nation, the 2nd highest ranking in program history. They were ranked #8 just a few weeks ago.

Someone updated the Charlotte men’s soccer page about 12 hours ago on Wikipedia to give them the “2020 season” conference championship and NCAA tournament birth. Thats’ll be a fun edit for someone to make in 20 minutes...
