How could anyone say no to the Little Prince and his shepple. Dilly dilly!
Does anyone think the MLS may be a Ponzi scheme?

To be fair, no one ever confirmed UC to the Big XII. We were likely in the top 2-3, but they decided not to expand.

It appears his tweet is a prediction. Pat Brennan with the Enquirer agrees, but it appears that's all we have at this point.

For reference, you can now embed tweets per the main board sticky. Just add a twitter code append to the link.

Quickly, I posted this question the off topic forum but no one answered it. Is there a button to click like when one adds a picture? Or do you just have to type the twitter tags? Not complaining just want to make sure that I’m not missing a shortcut.

You have to type the code tags to my knowledge. Could be that a button is in the cards though...I'm still holding out hope that we'll be able to embed Hudl videos at some point lol.
Jason Williams now reporting news on FCC'S bid won't come until after the New Year and is contingent on locating the stadium closer to the urban core.

Good...give us our new sound system at Nippert, fill in those notches and get out.

Good...give us our new sound system at Nippert, fill in those notches and get out.

Then Nippert will be down to one major tenant..with a major dropoff in revenue.
This scenario of Cincinnati getting the other bid and joining in 2019 seems to be gaining traction. Washington Post mentioned that as scenario they think is happening. Meanwhile the Sac Bee editorial board is trying to still convince people of their bid.

Cincinnati 2019
Miami and Nashville 2020

Detroit and someone else for the final? 2.

Key stat...Sacramento zero Fortune 500 companies. Cincinnati has what 9?

2019 will mean 1-2 years of MLS soccer at Nippert

Hearing MLS has a problem with one of Sacramento's owners thus steering away from them.

Seems like it's Cincinnati if they can get something in writing for a stadium in Newport or west end pronto. (Many believe FCC ownership saw this coming and had plan b quietly in the works). Like Oakley is in the suburbs or something.
If they want a team to play in 2019 then it would absolutely have to be FCC. They are the only ones with a team and a venue that will work for MLS.
Would love to see it in the West End. That area needs a boost for development. I know some have argued that stadiums don't equal development but I think MLS is different. Someone smart will open a beer garden nearby called the Bailey or something like that and will be the official bar of FCC (and ironic facial hair). That area needs a boost and this could be it. Newport is actually shovel ready (unlike most other "shovel ready" projects) - this is the main benefit to that area. I like the idea of having it in the West End, relatively near breweries and old factories that can be turned into funky housing and restaurants. Now FCC has to somehow get rumored 19 parcels of land to be able to build in the West End.

I've quietly thought the West End would be the best location too and I believe FCC thinks the same.. When i mention the location to people, they don't understand how close it is to OTR - basically OTR west. Numerous bars, and "park and ride" options throughout downtown.
Too bad Broadway Commons was wasted on a generic, under-performing casino. How cool could that spot have been with what's happening in Pendleton and OTR?
