Bottom line another WEAK recruiting class by Wilder. Our recruiting is trending downward which is not a good sign. Seeing more unrated players committing that don't even have other FBS offers. I suspect we won't even be in the top10 in the conference in recruiting.
Recruiting ratings are very imprecise and often turn out to be widely inaccurate. I remember Justice Davila got a low 2-star rating for example. TJ Ricks probably wasn't even a two-star. There are a multitude of examples.
Examples of Ratings Not Being Accurate:
3-Stars: Appouh (88), Noye (84), Vincent Lowe (81), Byrum (80)
2-Stars: Melvin Vaughn (70), Nick Clarke (75), Rotimi (75), Ward (76), Duhart (77), Toal (77), Davila (78)
Walk-on: TJ Ricks
And, by the way, David Washington and Zach Pascal were unrated by 247 just like Ricks.
Great post.... thanks
We got a commitment today out of Estefano Feliciano (6', 211 lbs), an outside linebacker from Tampa, Florida. He is not yet rated, but also has offers from Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky.

Here is the 247Sports story:

I think this is the more impressive video, showing of his skills much more clearly than the other one. It is the first half of his junior season. Makes me wonder if he was injured last year and missed the second half of the season. That might also explain why he is not yet rated. I will dig a little more to see what I can find, but based on this film, I agree that he should likely be a high two star or low three star recruit.

Great job beating out both MT and WKU for this player!
Excellent getting one from those 2! We beat MTSU in something!! =]
But that kid also shows a lot of patience on some of those tackles as well. I like it!

Appouh has a chance to be a very good player. Just because he's behind a couple other really good young defensive ends means nothing. Our DL is probably among the best in the conference now (as mentioned by fellow C-USA schools)
Not sure on Noye and Byrum; but too early to judge either way. They are both sophomores.
Im not sure on the quantity of recruits we are shooting for, but the quality is probably going to be among the best we've had. If we aren't rated highly by 247, its only going to be due to number of recruits (unless decommits happen)
Guys don't put too much into what 247 and other recruiting services rank these players, most of these rankings are based off of who these kids have offers from. It's amazing how they are unranked then they commit and the next day they are 2 stars. Now i know overnight they did not breakdown film and evaluate these players. Its simple a top 20 school offers your a high 4 star or a very high 3 the remaining power 5 offers your a 3 star, you get a G5 offer low 3 or high 2. The focus should be on coaches evaluation and is he the right fit.

^This.
I also like the latest commits, lets welcome the guys to the Monarchs.
I really like the how this class is looking so far. Especially having a tall WR and a FB
Cam Washington and Austin Wood both named in Virginia Pilot's Top 50 Seniors and Recruit757's Fab 30 Seniors.
Breaking Down LB Keisean Wilson: What Will He Bring to ODU?
He explodes off of the snap and can time the snap count to disrupt the play. In his junior year he managed to total over 100 tackles with 7 sacks
