I don't think I have been so proud of the Ol Dirty since we beat Villanova in the Tournament. It is hard to believe two years ago we were in total disarray.

Can anyone believe that of all the teams ODU has fielded, this is the one that earned our first ever ranking? Love it!
I am 50 years old. I have followed ODU Basketball for as long as I can remember. My dad moonlighted as an usher at Scope. He would take me along to sit by his section watching ODU games.
I remember back when George Mason first got ranked and I so long wanted to see my Monarchs in the top 25 only we settled for NIT final four.
The year VCU finished in the top 25 and we owned them that year, but no ranking for us.
This is a special day in my life, as it is for Monarch Nation. I cannot believe after the dismal record two years ago, look at where we are now.
This is fantastic news; it should do wonders for brand visibility.

I am so superstitious plus being amazed that this team could get so good so fast! The only time I remember us getting votes we had a bad loss before the next week's voting. I've been afraid to check driving tomes and flight costs to Seattle, Portland, Charlotte, Jax, Pittsburgh,Louisville, and Omaha!
