It's not about skill and achievement. It's not that minorities aren't getting degrees in computer and tech jobs.

It's all about race with the liberal....and the liberal CEO

I have an iPad and a Macbook Air, of and an iPhone.

I'm in the group that doesn't really give a crap about those kind of electronics as long as they work. Plus, the Apples ones look great. Mostly, they all work together and with my vehicles and stuff.

Apple is still a ****** company to do business with. The thing is for an electronics simpleton like myself their **** is the easiest to work with.

My stuff at work is all Mac too. We have those flat screen things and they are really great.
I just got around to reading the Steve Jobs biography. Fascinating read about a really interesting and tortured person. He was extremely liberal but some of you will be happy to know Jobs publicly announced his disgust with President Obama shortly before he died. He loved Bill Clinton and was disappointed Obama wasn't following his perceived agenda (or at least what Jobs hoped Obama would do).

I bought my first Apple IIC in 1985, but I believe I've owned nothing but PC computers since then. Mostly because of the cost I guess. My kids have iPods and iPad minis. And want iPhones.

They've been pretty inventive in a lot of areas. And their customers are about as loyal as they come. And pretty liberal for the most part too.

"Assembled in China"

I wouldn't go that far.
I worked at Apple for 4 years...fun company...no drug tests, store meeting involved movies and beer. They gave us all iPhones for the product launch.
I have never owned an Apple product aside from one Ipod bought for me... that broke week 1.
I have an old iPod from 2008 or 2009, and it still works pretty well though the battery is crap. I stick to Android/Google.

Indeed.

For of the anti slavery folks,....if you own an Apple product, then you are a part of it in current times.

The bulk of the ingenuity...the execs, mathematicians, engineers, computer scientists, programmers, developers, graphic designers, analysts, etc. are stateside. And even though Apple manufactures their products overseas, Apple brings more foreign money into the United States than it sends out. It also directly employs tens of thousands of retail workers and vendors, indirectly employs thousands of App developers, all while making stock holders...mostly Americans...richer every year.

Maybe, but then maybe not

I'm not dogging on them at all because it isn't all bad but leaving out one of the biggest parts of bringing a product to market isn't demonstrating our "economic prowess," especially when it further hurts the wider economy in many ways.

How are they going to get to their offices? Trudge through the trees or just materialize from one spot to another? I don't see any parking or paths to the new building.
I don't mind Apple. I own an iPhone, though I did try to switch to the Samsung Note, but had some compatibility issues, so I switched back. In retrospect, I'm glad I did. I initially liked the fact that the Note's screen was so big, but it is hardly practical.

The one thing I can't stand is the people (idiots) that worship Apple, because they think it makes them an intellectual or whatever. It's pathetic.
I've seen more Apple stickers on Scion hipster mobiles than I care to count.
I fought off Apple for as long as I could and have 1 main Windows based PC and 2 laptops. But we also have 3 iPhones, an iPad, iPod, and a Mac Book Pro.

I heard that Apple was supposed to be great with far fewer crashes and incompatibility issues and now know that's bogus. PCs are far more easier to dick with and customize (but I wish they'd do something like Apple does and not have a registry) and I FF'd up my iPhones and Ipad more than once after jailbreaking them.

Yeah, not sure what "anti-slavery" means, when if you're pro-slavery it's kind of wack. Nowadays, though, workers in China are treated like indentured servants, having to earn a tiny wage for doing super long hours of work -- magic of the Communist system, I guess.
It was joke directed at you John and JH. And you bit first.

Any way, the point being is that the people working for Apple are truly slave labor.
