What are you doing here?
Everyone loses last night in the wild card chase. Cardinals, Mets, and agiants still tied.
Time for cards & matheny to part ways. He has underperformed every season and mismanaged his pitching staff. Terry Francona anyone? Dudes a winner.

Let's see what Matheny can do with a franchise player. His tenure has seen the departure of this generation's Stan Musial, and the replacements have been Peralta and Leake.

He has a lineup of poor fielding .240 hitters, and a promising pitching staff for next year.

I'm certainly not a big Matheny fan myself but he doesn't deserve to be fired at this point.86-76 will get you in the playoffs most years but there were several teams that had good seasons & the WC teams won 87.
Idk, he has squandered some World Series rosters
I agree with the above post concerning Matheny. I have liked him ok but no doubt he has made some bad decisions especially with the Reds series last week. No excuse to lose that series at home with the wild card on the line. Then another thing, commentators getting giddy about Lance Lynn coming back next season. If he comes back as a starter again, Sorry folks, I am just not crazy about that.
Anyone watching Teenwolf pitch?
Always great to see this thread reappear every Spring. The Boys of Summer are near. One thing to watch this year is Yadi's replacement, Carson Kelly, here at AAA Memphis. Last year was painful and somewhat hollow without our Cardinals in the postseason. Hopefully back on track this season.
Great step forward!
Cards fans love Pedro Strope
Cards win opener over small bears. They looked like a much improved team this spring.
Pedro Guerrero has either died or is brain dead. Conflicting reports from the DR.

Great talent who never took care of his body.
Cecil is definitely not making a great impression nor is the whole bullpen as far as that goes.
Lance Lynn is already in midseason form by giving up 2 homers to the bottom of the Nats lineup
Ugh.
Matheny wasted 5 years of great talent. Now we just suck.
We really suck so far
It's still really early BUT it ain't lookin too good.

Those small bears took 2 of 3 AT St Louis and the small red birds are now looking up at the Cubs in the standings, which is where they will stay all season.
