Herschel is filling in the role of Dale from the comics, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get killed when the Hunters show up. Glenn will be a show regular for a long time to come.
Is Karen Tyrese's new chick?
A Glenn or Rick death would shake up the comic connection, which isn't unheard of in this series (Dale and Sophia died early, Shane stuck around longer than in the comics, the Dixons weren't even in the comics).
I don't read the comics, so I have no sense of the time correlation. How many comics pertain to a season? What comic are in the vicinity of? I did hear that the creators are claiming a closer semblance to the comics, at least for this season. So if they're around issue 50, then, yeah, Glenn is apparently safe.
Rick was losing it over those pigs and his crops almost being destroyed.
I think Carl is feeding the rats to the "fencers" to create a dangerous situation so he can get his gun back, and it worked.
Not sure who is burned the bodies, but the the new guy is probably the Gov's mole.
Well looks like I was right about Karen. I think it's Lizzie who is feeding the walker. Bob Stookey, Dr. S, OR Sasha were probably the ones to kill Karen/David.

Season 3 messed with comic timeline correlation, but this season they are obviously going for a more consistent comic to TV show timeline.
So what are everyone's thoughts on the latest episode last night? I personally thought it was an amazing episode and the best of Season 4, maybe even in the top 10 episodes.
It was an excellent episode, no doubt. The freaky looking walkers at the campsite in the woods were awesome. The image I took away from the episode was the "walker ocean" the drug-search posse ran into at the end.
Lots of directions to go from here - Is Tyrese gonna be pissed that Darryl and Michonne left him? Will that huge gang of walkers make their way to the prison? Great character development going on with Carol.
The prison seems more and more fragile with each episode. I wonder if we'll even be there more than a couple more weeks.
The voice on the radio has to come into play soon, and I think in a big way.
Great epi! Of course it was Carol; I figured that out after Tyrese came up and asked her to look out for Sasha.
Hope the herd isn't heading to the prison, or that the gang gets back so they can move out.
So far this season my favorite characters on the show have been Tyreese with his character development, Bob Stookey, and Herschel. Also just so you know, the mid-season finale is going be crazy and is going to probably leave us all sad & crying.
With a character driven show, which this is, you often have to have character development. Last show was all about that and usually after every show that focuses on that, some major action and/or plot twists happen within the next two weeks. It will likely be intense!
This season has been amazing, much better than Season 3, due in part to present show runner Scott M. Gimple taking over the duty of tying off plot holes from Season 3. I'm so glad he's coming back again for season 5 with the way the show is going, maybe we can have actual consistency from season to season.
Anyway my recap and review for Episode 3 is now up:

based on the comics does not mean everything in the comics will happen
and this season has been very good
yup
and since Rick lost his hand at Woodbury it pretty safe to say that they arent going to cut ricks hand off. It'd be tough for them to film Rick after that anyway.
