Ty Henricks was a 6th round pick of the Rangers.

Yeah seems we haven’t had too many in awhile. Recently we’ve been getting guys drafted in the portal. And we’ve become a farm for older guys signing pro contracts. Always looks good on the roster and helps recruit future players. Congrats broncos
Just saw that undrafted recruit Cameron Korpi was an invitee to the Philadelphia Flyers development camp.
Moe, do we have any idea which freshman are coming to campus this fall?

Heisenberg keeps his list regularly updated and he rarely misses.
LW - Tommy Prendergast - Colorado Thunderbirds 16U AAA (expected to play with Green Bay USHL this fall) is a 2025 or 2026 recruit. He put up 67 points in 55 games in the Tier 1 Elite League last season and had a 4 game call up to Green Bay as a 16 year old. From what I'm reading his best assets are his elite speed and his ability to smoke defensemen one-on-one.

Junior Poedin - Forward

MN high school kid, however, he is 5' 4" and 119 lbs.

Typically not a type we recruit size wise.

I know it will be a few years before he comes in campus, but lets hope he hits a major growth spurt.

Son of Shjon Podein. Another Philadelphia Flyer connection.

Podein and Ferch grew up together, 2 yrs apart (both from Rochester, MN) hence the connection.

We will have to wait an see how little Podein developes....
Just back from being on vacation for 2 weeks. Surprised at the lack of chatter in this thread after the absolute monster haul in recruiting we've had during that time. Podein, Kosiba, and Lock are all big pickups for us, plus adding in Bump who transfered out of his LOI at Vermont when their coach was fired.

Bump was named the 2022 USA Today HS Hockey player of the year.

I think he clearly becomes the most talented incoming freshman & the guy most likely to have a Ryan McAllister freshman season.

Minnesota fans were all convinced he was a lock to go there. Them coming unhinged on Twitter when he committed WMU was fun to watch.

Also, he said what ultimately sold him on WMU was when Shjon Podein Jr. committed.
A lot of development left on most of these guys who havent even hit juniors yet, hopefully they continue to get better and we will be better because of them.

Throw him on a line with a vet like Colangelo or Grainger, he will produce and probably be the setup guy like Mcallister was.

True, but these are high end players too. These are the kinds of recruits we used to never have a shot with.
There’s already been a bit of talk about them in the roster thread.

I don't think he's a set up/play maker. He looks to me to be a guy who likes to shoot the puck. Foot speed maybe his only issue.

The scouting reports on him have him as a goal scorer who can create his own chances in traffic with a deceptive wrister (and deceptive speed). He did seem to add some more play making ability in his only full season in juniors where he had to learn to better rely on his teammates at a level where he couldn't just dominate like he did in HS. My uneducated projection is that he'll be a middle of the lineup player as a freshman before his game takes off in later years (a Dana Lattery type development curve).

The wrister does look very nice on the highlight reels.
