Pretty obvious the shots at Tennessee and Troy and the ACC are just for fun. Kind of a haha you've officially received humble pie notice.

This does not compute..

It's simply another poke at them for losing to Florida AGAIN even though they should not have. They're a good enough team to not be in the Bottom 10, but if you lose to someone 20 years in a row (I mean it feels that way doesn't it .....) then you get to have McGee make fun of you. 04-cheers

Congrats to the Louisiana-Monroe Indians for finishing as the 2nd worst team in America. You have lots to be proud of.

ESPN Bottom 10 Final

2. ULM (pronounced "UHLM") (2-10)

Wins: +2
Losses: -10
Longest losing streak: -10 (current -10)
161 points for, 310 points against: -149
Turnover margin: +1
WoS: -74
Randy Edsall Fired Coach Bonus: -50
Total: -300
Games played: 12
Final Bottom 10 Faux Pas Index: -25

Ulm, the Warhawks nearly, ulm, pulled off the ulmpset of Kent by, ulm, ending the season on an, ulm, 10-game losing streak and then, ulm, firing Terry Bowden to grab that 50-point FPI bonus. Instead, they've lost this competition too and will, ulm, have to settle for finishing last in the Sulmbelt.05-ban

Dishonorable mention to Southern Miss who was on the waiting list.

I legitimately believe that if we gave FIU a spot their program would actually flourish. think about it from the athletes/conference/admin/fan perspective, they’re:

-Playing nearby schools (if we were to somehow add one or both Florida schools)
-playing against GOOD competition year in and year out
-it’s the largest school in the G5 (to my knowledge) so once you get support rolling from a 50k student base you’ll have packed out games
-you get some access to Miamis recruitment grounds
-maybe a cool CCG at sun life stadium or something

You can’t say this about the other programs that currently are in the bottom 10

FIU had a spot. They had one or two good years on the back of TY Hilton, but otherwise were just as awful then as they are now. I don't dislike them, and damn sure liked them better than FAU who I still harbor a special hatred for. But they jumped for greener pastures and unless the SBC gets desperate, FIU doesn't offer anything of potential value.

FIU has pretty well always sucked (outside of a few outlier seasons) It has been a cultural thing there. The new AD and Coach are trying to fix it, but man what an uphill battle.

Yes, this. FIU doesn't care. They'd come back to the SBC to get the higher Conference payout, then they'd just coast with that money.

Florida (and another TX or near-TX school) have always felt more important than moving inland...just not a lot of great options - unless we punch up (USF?)

Few would have taken a bet that the belt would score with App andnCoastal..and then follow up with adding the 3+1 so successfully...keep that trajectory if we ever expand!

Yeah. There is this thing called Karma and it’s about to bite them in the ass. And they don’t even see it coming. “We’ve always won! (in FCS). We always hire great coaches! (in FCS). Them boys haven’t figured out they aren’t in FCS any longer. They have had a Cinderella’s honeymoon start. They have no idea how hard it is to keep it going in their new surroundings.

This is it. Their athletic department is pathetic from admin neglect. Plus, and maybe because of, there’s zero fan engagement. Theres a lot of damage to be fixed there.
