They might do ok in conference play simply because their conference is so weak, but SHSU won't be finding their way off this list any time too soon. They'll start 0-3 with an absurd margin of defeat in each game with BYU, Air Force, and Houston out the gate.

Jacksonville State gets a much more realistic shot at getting off the list early with UTEP and ETSU... Or maybe they'll really solidify their spot.

SHSU is precisely where they belong. 5-4 in FCS last year. FIU may clean their clocks.

If you ignore the Covid spring season wackiness, they've done nothing noteworthy.

ULM wasn't on this list at all last year...I'll accept if it was one time...and maybe twice the year before. And we won't be on it very long this year either. Nobody knows anything about this Warhawk team because of the wholesale changes on the roster and the continuity of the staff (for once). We're definitely bigger and faster.

We don’t live on this list. Not once last year and I bet not once the year before, except possibly preseason. I’m hearing we are stacked this year and I think we are going to surprise some people. We are picked last in the West on all these YouTube preseason video blogs and most all magazines, but while that may be perception, reality is in the last 2 years, we've beaten ULL, Troy, Tx St, and South Alabama. Yet, even with that they all seem to think we are the doormat of the west. ULM has finished last in the West only once in the last 8 years. Time to earn our respect and I think it will come this year starting with Army at home Saturday.
