I am shocked that stAte didn't make it. Hoping this year is a move well away from this hall of shame.

Glad to see the Monarchs didnt make the cut. Hopefully we can win one of our first three to avoid it.

Almost 50% of the bottom 9 (since there aren't 10 teams listed) is CUSA. Of course they will get their chance to get out of it, but yikes.

If for some reason we ever added MoSt, they’d land on it too.

how do I read this? Is #1 the worst or #10?

Honestly it doesn’t matter. If you’re on here for more than a week it’s because your program is nationally perceived as the kid that falls off the balance beam and gets a pat on the head.

FIU, Charlotte, ULM (sorry it’s true) absolutely live on this list annually.

Oh no, don't say that. I made the same point in a different conference forum (to rename nameless) and was corrected.... They started clucking and crowing that they may not have been FBS until now, but have played PLENTY of FBS opponents AND WON over the years. The poster seemed all jacked up about his school...... Gem of a guy I'm sure

His whole rationale was because of transfer portal. Made no effort to see who replaced players with and in what position. Those that know Koenning know he needs certain type players. As he said last night, and in other media, we are longer and faster than last year. From what I have seen in the scrimmage I attended, many more defenders around the ball than we saw last year. He didn't much care for what he had and I believe there wasn't much effort to talk players out of transferring....perhaps some encouragement. LOL More depth of OL, deeper and more talent at WR and we have much better RBs. It will really come down to QB play.

You are correct. I had the wrong New Mexico team as the CUSA team. Even then 1/3 of the bottom 10 being CUSA is not a good sign. Though they have a chance to prove themselves like all teams and conferences do. Good luck with your season.

I don't read too much into this when no one's played a game this season, much like the pre-season top 25. SH may come into CUSA like JMU did here, though I don't expect Charlotte or FIU to do the same in their new conference.

ULM wasn't on this list at all last year...I'll accept if it was one time...and maybe twice the year before. And we won't be on it very long this year either. Nobody knows anything about this Warhawk team because of the wholesale changes on the roster and the continuity of the staff (for once). We're definitely bigger and faster.
