I'm planning on creating my weekly post starting next week.

But I'm sure plenty of other people have info/opinions/scenarios they'd like to add too. So I thought this year maybe it would be best to create a mega thread to organize them all in one place instead of me creating a new thread weekly.

So everyone, feel free to jump in.

I think everyone knows at this point, hosting 1st round of the NCHC tourney looks likely, as does a playoff spot. But as we'll see in next week's thread those things are not close to locked up yet. And there are some very respected names on postseason life support right now. The last few weeks should be quite interesting/entertaining, nothing quite like a team with their backs up against the wall upsets are comin'.

This thread is just as good as any to bring this up. I listened to the CHN podcast this morning.

Adam Wodon said he thinks if Western just gets slightly above average goaltending down the stretch, they can win the National Championship.

He was very complimentary of Galambos & Berger. Some credit goes to Jason Herter too.

This week's USCHO bracketology has us in the same region as UMinn.

I saw this on Reddit. Getting to #6 or #7 by the end of the season would greatly improve our match-up in the Tourney. Although, we could be playing with fire with #6, because Michigan is very close to passing BU.

I'd say Yes to Michigan. We played them virtually dead even earlier this season and match up well with them. We're due for a victory there.

We did play them nearly even, but they are peeking now just like we are. There are no easy scenarios here. That said, anything that avoids UMinn is an upgrade.

Maybe this is the year we don’t get in a favorable region and it helps us.

Seems like the last two tourneys we got “favorable” regionals and we lost.

Air Force / Harvard region in 2016, last year although we beat northeastern, we got Minnesota.

This team has the firepower to compete with anyone.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this but I feel like last year we were this years SCSU type team. Solid goaltending and some scoring.

But this year, we are getting both.

Idk I feel like this years team is better in a way.

Maybe I’m wrong.

Big 10 seems to be pushing forward as the league that doesn’t want to be over done by the NCHC. Kind of saw this coming. Pulling Minnesota, Penn State, Ohio State, UM…. And even MSU.

NCHC as a whole feels down this season. B10 is definitely taking this opportunity to punch us down.

We can’t let this stand.

NCHC will most likely still win the natty just like they always do

Let’s root for CC and Nodak this weekend.

I don't see MSU hanging in the top 15. OSU finishes @Notre Dame x2, Vs. Michigan x2, and @ Minny x2. Not sure how far losing a few times to those teams would drop them, but that's a tough finish.

Minnesota, Michigan, Penn St, & Ohio St look pretty safe at this point.

ND & Sparty are true bubble teams.

4 is very likely. Maybe, 5.

Yeah the top 4 are realistically safe, though not locked yet. But those four teams being that strong is why ND and MSU are likely not going to get there. They’ll need some upsets.

MSU already down 3-0 in the first eight minutes to UM at Munn. Pretenders.

It’s a tossup. But I’d say the blue molester enabler school is better at covering it up vs the green school. The blue school only has to pay $490 million to victims vs the $500 million for the green school. It’s about money so they win by saving 10 million.
