Do not mistake what I'm about to say as an insult to Marshall... in fact, I will go as far as saying I definitely do not want Marshall as our first game in the tournament, because if they get hot they are a very tough matchup for us.

Marshall’s not playing top teams... except NORTH TEXAS

If you go and look at the NETand RPI rankings, you will quickly see that there's really no marked difference between the pod 1 teams and the pod 2 teams. In fact, Marshall is in the top 5 NET and RPI.

Louisiana Tech is in the top-five in NET, whom we just beat at their place. No one in this conference has been able to do that this year.

Just saying, we've won both of our pod games on the road.

I fully expect Marshall to make another run in the tournament.

I wish they would do Thursday Sunday games for the men. Creates a much better travel schedule without missing anymore school days.

Well they will probably be favored in the first tournament game so at least they should get off to a good start.

Tonight’s game is huge for the number 2 seed. Whoever loses probably plays Marshall for their first game after Marshall will get a chance to get used to the weird arena.

I believe if we win tonight, we lock up the 6 seed. We’d be a game up on FAU and already 1-0 against them for the year, and even if we do lose to them this weekend, tiebreaks would favor Marshall- we’re both 1-0 against ODU, 0-1 against UTSA and Southern Miss, but Marshall owns a win over WKU.

Okie dokie. Rice did beat Marshall in its only game this year (in Houston, granted). If Rice wins tonight (or Saturday), they're the 11 seed and will play Marshall in the first round.
