It's a little of both. As a coach you have to be able to assess your players weaknesses and have techniques to hide/ overcome them. In general the scheme is ok. Sometimes the players use bad technique. I'm not saying that it's the coaches aren't teaching it or that the players aren't doing it, i'm just making the statement the technique is bad. What I saw against uh2 was lack of ability honestly. Which is why I was saying give some other guys a chance. I keep hearing we don't have anyone else. How can we say that when we clearly have backups that aren't playing. What we have isn't cutting it so give the backup a chance.

With respect to recruiting of we have 11 safety offers out and no cbs. What are we thinking? It's common knowledge you can move from CB to safety but toy don't move from safety to cb. And just recruiting athletes isn't the key either. CB is one of those positions that it has to be YOUR position. Some people move to it and do well but the best ones PLAY that position. It's a mentality thing. They need to getting TRUE corners.

Finally, from working in a hs coaching office there's a lot of coaches that are saying kids against rice. I know for a fact that 3 current players were told flat out they shouldn't go to rice and they will get better offers if they hold wait. So we are battling against head coaches as well as our own record and our stigma. They have to figure out how to overcome that.
