Remember when we won it a few years back without Ryan Harrow? Good teams find a way to win, even without all their starters. Y'all did great today and gave us heart attacks in the 2nd half.
I hope Georgia Southern gets into one of the two other tournaments and shows out. It's good for their program and good for the Belt. It's good for the Belt that GSU and Georgia Southern are both good, with dynamic lead players, and we play great games.
I hope we fly home, and put up the gear for the year.
I'd have a different opinion if Montae wasn't hurt, but it would be absolutely pointless to continue this season.

Glad to see all of the GaSt fans have plenty of piss and vinegar in them.
While I would have loved to see a healthier Georgia Southern team play in the tournament, I think that a closer reading of any/all of my posts would show that I wouldn't have assumed victory today, even under the best of conditions. If any of you think that I'm wearing a tin-foil hat and calling conspiracy, you're wrong. But just because GaSt won fair and square doesn't mean I can't bemoan some of the circumstances that had us playing uphill.
Georgia Southern was a pretty good team that never really reached its potential. And it sucks that they were knocked out of the tournament by a team that they were fully capable of beating. That's not an excuse for GS or a knock on Georgia State. Stop bending over backwards to turn my factual statements into some sort of whining or hand-ringing.
Or keep exaggerating my comments as some sort of hysterical crying over the result of the game. I can't control your fantasies. Have fun with it. It won't cost me any sleep.

You can say whatever you like, but I don't know why you expect us to say "that's reasonable" when you try to claim that we only won because you were missing a starter. Complain all you want, say you hate hunter or think we're ghetto or whatever, but when you try to take away from our win by saying it was a technicality, were gonna call you out on it (as we, or anyone else, should).

I don't know how many times I've said "I hate that guy" during our games. He's good. Had a bad day today, which helped us get the W. If he's hitting, it's a different game.

I never did any of that. You're simply taking my sadness and frustration and contorting it into something else in order to further fuel your joy, which is fine.
Look at my post that you quoted. I literally spelled out that Georgia State won that game "fair and square". Any frustrations I had about the circumstances of the game are my opinions, but I never let those opinions overrule the reality of the actual game.
Or maybe Montae Glenn getting hurt in practice is somehow slang for 'Georgia State is ghetto'? I'd have to consult the AP stylebook.

Know what you should keep it to in this situation? "Sucks that So-and-So was hurt, but our guys on the floor couldn't get it done."
Instead, you said: "Georgia State has definitively proven that they can beat us when we have four starters. Congrats, I guess."
A whiner you are. Now you're whining that we correctly called you out for whining. I guess if you're not winning, you might as well be whining. We don't know what that feels like recently against y'all, though...

That's TrueBlewDrew's purview, calling our campus the ghetto and fabricating stories about encountering multiple homeless people on his brief visit for the first game this season. You'll have to ask him yourself, though...he's so delicate and fragile he has me blocked.
I'm kinda disappointed he hasn't weighed in, he's always good for a laugh after games like this.

Absolutely stellar job in cutting off the last part of that last quoted sentence in an attempt to prove some sort of point. Also, I'm not losing any sleep over the loss, but I'm a beleaguered sports writer who keeps terrible hours, so this isn't exactly my time to be sleeping.
I'll gladly keep refuting your bad attempts to make some sort of point. Just don't stay up too late. You've got a big game tomorrow.

I know that no one outside of TXST really cares but Toshua Leavitt set a new NCAA single-season record for 3 pointers tonight.

Same here! Just got done with high school hoops coverage, so I know how you feel. Appreciate a guy who can maintain AP style on a message board. I guess my journalistic ethics don't extend to quoting a rival fan's posts, though
