Exclamation How do UCF fans feel about Scott Frost coaching the Peach?
On an ESPN radio interview, Scott Frost said he is still working on conditions to coach the Peach Bowl.
Article: Frost may not coach UCF in Peach Bowl after all

Quote:We want to do it. We just gotta make sure both sides are OK with, it and we can work it out. It’s touchy and there’s no good way to break up. …There are a lot of things to work out. But our heart is with those kids, and those kids deserve the best chance they can to play well against Auburn. And I think that’s with us going back to coach them.

What do UCF fans think: Do it for the kids, or Don't let the door hit you?

I'm happy with it. I think we stand the best chance with a coaching staff who is well aware of each player's abilities.

What other choice do we have if we actually want to win? He took every single coach we have, lol.

I want to win this game. It’s the biggest game in our program’s history, especially considering the implications a win would have on our program.

We need to win. We need Frost to win...

Good if you want to win the game.

Bad if you want to keep recruits.

I want him to coach. I'm sure he is absolutely screwing us in the negotiations. He has the leverage.

It was a good idea, until UCF found a new coach. Now that UCF has a new coach, it's a dumb idea. 07-coffee3

It's turned out to be an awkward situation. If he doesn't, though, we won't have anyone unless Huepel & Co. can somehow step in immediately. Bad situation overall, and it's going to hurt our chances no matter what.

Maybe Frost could get the kids to buy in one last time to "finish the job", but they could easily react negatively to him.

I tend to agree that he needs to coach simply because don't think the new staff will be able to get things up to speed. But my opinion of frost has declined a lot with his behavior. Wish we could just be done with him. It's tough either way.

I actually wouldn't mind letting the new crew give a crack at it. They are familiar with Auburn, coming from the SEC. They have a similar offense. They can probably fit in a lot more than "3" practices over the next 3 weeks. If UCF wins, the momentum going into next season would be amazing.

Yep, it was one of those ideas that sounded great in the heat of the moment, but putting it in practice has become a logistical headache.

Going forward, i think other schools are learning a lesson from this. 07-coffee3

Ahh yes. We’ve learned never to get your coach poached just before a NY6 bowl with an undefeated season on the line.

And there is no other option for coaching this game. It’s Frost or a 50-60 point blowout.

Living with your ex after you find out they cheated on you is ALWAYS a bad idea.

Just wondering what folks here thought. I read that he is taking 7 assistants and dragging some recruits with him. I've seen on some other boards where some said they were grateful and several referred to him as a traitor.

When ECU won the Peach in '92 and finished AP #9, at least our coach didn't get poached until after the bowl. My personal feeling would be to say get out, I've moved on and found someone else. But, best chance of winning is probably with Frost. Tough call.

I see that ESPN is giving UCF a 28.1% chance to win. Tell Snelson it's okay to "score 70" now. I hope UCF creams Auburn and finishes top 10. Top 5 would also be nice.

Go Knights!

He isn’t taking just 7 assistants. He’s literally taking every single person on the entire coaching staff...

It's part of being in a tweener conference unfortunately... Almost any time any of us make a NY bowl our coach is probably gone to any of the 5-10 good P5 jobs that open that year...

Brian Kelly did it for us. I always believed that it said something about Kelly and his work ethic. I think that you want your new crew.

I'd prefer that Frost never set foot on our campus again, but not sure there's any other answer than one more game.

RE: How do UCF fans feel about Scott Frost coaching the Peach?
I'd prefer to give the new coaching staff the keys. with the extra practices, I think they will do a better job than simply 3 practices that Frost has scheduled. Plus, I'd much rather Frost not have the opportunity to coach in a NY6 game, because if he does not make it to one in the next 3-4 years, he will be out of a job.

I love it. (If it really happens)

There is a special bond between player and coach. This is 100% the best goodbye to the players. Down in the trenches for 1 last showdown. Let’s go, I got your back and you got mine.
