RE: AAC Football Predictions
I bet almost everybody got SMU right. Most were 6-6 to 7-5 with good O and bad D. Turned out to be right on. Tulsa was greatest disappointment.

You consider that last game a whiff by USF? They made a lot more mistakes than you did, and still should have won. You were fortunate to win. They didn't whiff.
Same outcome. So now it is usif?

Pretty solid when our 'step back' is 6-6 and 3rd in the division.

If that's a whiff, you have a strange idea of what a whiff is. But I'm not surprised. I liked you guys better when you were 0-12. Now THAT's a whiff.

What are your AAC predictions?
Who is your sleeper team?
The West looks really tough. The East seems to be USF's to lose.
Always enjoy hearing from you guys

Not bad for a pre season view.

How could you have liked them during the 0-12 season? The only one man enough to stick around was Jared. All the others are a bunch of cry baby whiners.

I said "liked them better." It's all relative. I liked them 2 on a scale of 10. Now I like them 0.

Darkhorse - TU in the west (I don't really think they are a darkhorse to me but I think they are to others)
USF in the east, watch out for UCF (they are done being beat on)
I did say watch out for UCF but boy was I wrong about TU....what a disappointing year! Injuries and lack of a decent QB.

It's laughable the way that the UCiF nickname (which is still used by some - "we wouldn't have a losing record to you if we'd been in the same conference the whole time!") burn so badly that you guys try to turn it around and use it against USF. It's as stupid as the people who refuse to capitalize the letters of the other (using usf or ucf) like we're playing an "I'm rubber, you're glue" or "I know you are but what am I" game. I don't see anybody seriously whining about an 'if' with respect to that game last Friday. It was a great game, and you guys won.
As for the DNA of choking on big games, I'm not sure it's valid to assume that the history of the Jim Leavitt era somehow translates to a program that is 3 head coaches removed, but if it fits your narrative that we're chokers until we win, then I guess that's fine. Silly, but fine.

Well, I got my mis-directional florida teams revered, and UH and Memphis. Dead on with Temple, Navy and unfortunately ECU.

It’s funny to UCF fans because of the massive role reversal that has taken place in the years since the BIG EAST imploded. USiF held the power conference status over our heads, declined to schedule us, tried their hardest to downplay UCF as a rival, and ultimately tried to block UCF’s addition to the BE, much to the detriment of the conference and to USiF itself. It’s not a “I know you are but what am I?” as much as it is the tables having turned.
Fast forward to now, UCF has won 2 AAC championships and a division title in addition to winning a major bowl while USiF sits at zero. Now many of your fans are the ones proclaiming, “If we didn’t have Holtz,” “If we weren’t 2-10 UCF doesn’t win those championships,” “If Jim Leavitt hadn’t punched a player.” Your school is now the master of the IFs, hence USiF.

It's simply taking joy at throwing all that crap in the other direction. I also find it rich how USF fans get so bent out of shape over it
