Yep, I'm still elated as well.

The only thing that would have made it better is if the Triumvirate of Mediocrity had all resigned at the same time. It's too much to ask, but I enjoy pretending to be that happy about ECU athletics for just a second.

Seriously though this is the happiest ECU sporting moment since I guess the State win at the beginning of last year. There really hasn’t been a single positive thing athletically since then.

The guys looked like a completely different team last year under him, like we actually belonged in the American.
How about you shoot for.....ummm...12? Yeah, that seems fair.
(you get UCONN twice this year....right?)
12 is not enough to win the job. ECU has talent

Wow, you are giving them quite the compliment and must be feeling very generous...I don't consider what they have done to be anything close to mediocrity.

I don't consider myself negative, I tend to see things with purple and gold glasses on ....but other than maybe Barkley....I don't see talent on this team. They look slow, uninspired and average at best for a NCAA AAC level team.

I've read that several times and I am almost sure that something is missing.

Tyson, Fleming, Craig somehow, Spaseojevic, Barkley, Shawn Williams maybe to be seen, Sheppard if he ever comes back, are all aac level players. Winning about four conference games is nowhere near good enough

Compher was unwilling to put him out of his misery so he decided to handle it himself.

Classy move by Lebo. He knew we needed new leadership. He wanted to enjoy his family more and his life. Don't blame him.

I agree. Jeff Lebo did what was best for the university and the players in an era where coaches are usually doing what's best for themselves. While I'm glad he resigned, I have nothing but respect for him.

Ditto. He made it clear that he appreciated the fact that ECU hired him in what he called the worst time of his life after being fired at Auburn and did not think it was right to hold out for money. Damn classy way to go out IMO.
