Why would someone leave FGCU for ECU?

What ECU really needs to do is try to get a big name coach .... we just don't have the money for it. We need something to be able to talk to recruits in the region and they not just laugh at us when we go to them. Our program is so inflamed right now we need to have a brand of its own to advocate. The brand in this case would be the coach.

If you’re too poor for an up-and-comer you should just go after an NBA guy that doesn’t need the money, which seems to be the flavor of the last few years.

Nothing would make me happier than righting that wrong that probably ruined ECU hoops. Dooley had David West committed to ECU when he got fired. That could have changed the entire history of ECU hoops.
