If the DNC lose Virginia's government...

Short trip down I95 to SC. You VA conservatives need to come on down. Win/Win for all involved. Y'all get to surround yourselves to like-minded people and every Virginian who moves in means one less place for someone from up north to move into.
The extra bonus to that would be to be able to vote for Gowdy and against Graham. Win-win.
South Carolina is exactly where I want to move.

Used to have a business interest in Charleston...
Should have hung in there a while longer.
Damn.

Nah, it's mainly northern VA and a few cities. Northern VA is like a entirely different state altogether.

RE: If the DNC lose Virginia's government...
The more I look at yesterday's results the more I think it spells bad news for the GOP, as much as I want the Democrats to fall flat on their face next year. The Democrats basically ran Hillary-style campaigns but without Hillary and it worked out very well for them, and that's with the incumbent party having 3% growth and relatively stable foreign policy on their side. Unless the GOP churns out some popular legislation and/or the Dems really double down on the identity politics B-S (like even more than expected) they're gonna have some problems for midterms and in 2020 too.
EDIT: And as Kronke points out, this is the position that Ben Shapiro takes.

I listened to Ben Shapiro's podcast today, too.

He's a smart guy, but his prognostications were about as bad as it got this election cycle. I don't think we should read too much into one night of elections in a blue state, a stone's throw from the swamp.

I don't read into it, but I still don't expect a good night next year. Opposing party always wins Congress. The only exception I can think of was 2002... and Bush had something like 70% approval at that time.
