I'm sorry, but I am tired of hearing about this gigantic OL, averaging over 300 lbs -- and we can't get a sufficient push to gain 1 yard ..... maybe we should focus more on quickness, strength, and conditioning -- less on lbs. as an indicator of proficiency.

As fans we always have hope we can win, but we have to be realists. With our performances against a bad FCS team and a lack luster win against a horrible FBS team, you could see we would be very good at all. The FAU game was very telling. We will be lucky to win 1 (UNCC) or 2 (Rice) more games. I would love to see this team win 4 games. That would be one heck of a coaching job by Wilder and this staff. Wood you got screwed and out maneuvered by BW.

They would be running gassers all week if they were coached by a real coach. That way the next time they would have a little motivation to crush the guy across from them.

Until Wilder faces a little adversity he has no motivation to do better.

Well I'm hoping motivation increases, because if there aren't at least 2-3 changes within the staff, then buckle up to having these same issues in November 2018. Unfortunately, there will most likely be a couple of coaches fired as scapegoats, yet not the ones that should be ousted. BW won't get rid of his long-term buddies.

Probably not, but if BW and his crew don't show significant improvement next season, they may start to feel their seats getting warm too. We can't open a new stadium with a lousy product.

Its sad that that's probably true that we could go with 2-4 wins per season thru the 2019 season with no shot of BW getting the heat.

Defensive backs can't cover. Consistently give up 8 yards a play and then whenever it seems the other teams want a big play they always find someone wide open 40 yards down field wide open.
Punt takes too may steps and gets his punt blocked. It could have happened many times before.
Offensive line mabey can block for a quarter till the half somewhat and then they are done for the day.
Cant get a short 4th down in 3 straight tries.
I'm don't know what to say . I had to listen to the second half on the radio too painful for the eyes.

What are people expecting when BW constantly delivers recruiting classes near the bottom of CUSA ? I reset my expectations 3 years ago and was surprised by the Bowl game last year.

I see one more possible win for the year against Rice. We should be significant underdogs against a 1-7 Charlotte team who is coming off of a bye week and just beat a good (for CUSA) UAB team last week who smoked Southern Miss yesterday.

Oddly enough, I'm OK with our OL. The entire group comes back next year and I'm OK with it. The problem with our OL is our minimized passing attack. We are a run first offense and defenses are loading the box against us, as they should. UNT's safeties played most of the game less than 10 yards from the line of scrimmage. And we clearly struggled against the unusual 3-3 alignment. It's a defense designed to stop interior runs. Coaches have to be able to get around the corner if they have 6 guys bunched up in the middle like that.

The biggest issue on offense is lack of WR threats and a young QB that cant find them consistently. We are forced to play running backs at WR; sometimes 2 RB in a 4 WR formation. Extremely disapointed in the lack of WR development, some of the guys were very highly thought of coming in.
The defense played well in the 2nd half yesterday, but disappointed in our secondary as well. Addison is pretty good but outside of that, we are getting poor play from the corners, who should be benefiting from consistent pressure of our front four. You cant get beat deep with safety help consistently. Then they get torched everytime in we play man.
Ive been impressed with the DL olay and development. They are creative. The lack of development is a concern and I would start to consiser changes at DC and secondary coaching. The defense has regressed this year. Some of it can be pinned on the offense, but not all of it.

Its not odd. The OL has played very well since the first 2 games of the year and really well the last 3 weeks.

The two run attempts at 4th and 1 where we don't convert says differently. I know its just two plays out of the entirety of a game, but those two CRITICAL plays were failures specifically because of the O-line.

So its the OL fault that 5 guys cant block 7 or 8 with DEs crashing down?

I suspected he was hurt. He has a hip pointer ! Cox had the same thing a few weeks back and he was not effective at all.
