But comedians are experts of taking our everyday lives and pointing out the ridiculous. Most of the time they make a joke of it and we realize how silly we can be. But sometimes they point out the silliness and it isn't so funny.

It isn't funny that under this administration, it is now easier for the mentally ill to get weapons.

It isn't funny that under this administration, people who are on no fly lists can still purchase guns.

It's absolutely ridiculous. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Maybe it's time we listen to our comedians.

That's funny - no pun intended - but I don't recall the Administration passing any laws on this yet - therefore these "easy" laws where in place when the current administration got here - You Dope.

Thanks for posting. A PERFECT example of so called comedians being unfunny and not even remotely clever. Used to be that was one of the requisite qualities of comedians.

I don't know. Fallon has been fairly accommodating to Trump. I'm not sure anyone knows about Cordon or Obrien.

Jimmy Kimmel actually speaks from his heart.

Bill Maher insults people including Democrats.

Cordan is British, and have guest star on Doctor Who.

Trevor Noah is from South Africa. His humor and jokes we may not get.

Seth Meyers also Accommodated Trump as well. Both him and Fallon are SNL alums.

I miss Craig Ferguson... he actually got it. He made fun of both Democrats and Republicans when he was doing the talk show host stuff..

But this has to be the weirdest "pro-comedian argument I've ever seen"...

The thing is I think Fallon is the only one that gets it anymore... does he go after Republicans more than Democrats more? Yes.. but he does go after everyone. (Along the lines of Leno).. but Carson was the best at it.

Seth Meyers? Hell no.. that man was as vicious as anyone when he did the political comedy, particularly when it came to going after Republicans.

Bill Maher "insults" people.. no, bill maher throws out nasty language at people and pretends its funny.

Fallon WAS accommodating, until the alt-left attacked him for it. He then apologized, and is now running with the same talking points that Kimmel gets from Cuck Schumer.

Trevor Noah is from South African. It is the language barrier, or slang words that we do not get. Which makes him not funny. People in South Africa could understand his jokes, but his humor here is dry and not funny when people do not get him. He replaced Jon Stewart.

John Oliver was also on The Daily Show as well.

Steve Carroll was also on The Daily Show at one time.

Ed Helms, Samantha Bee (Full Frontal With Samantha Bee), and Olivia Munn.

Guest Host: Jordan Klepper, Mo Rocca

Larry Wilmore have his show as a replacement for the Colbert Report.

Not in the picture are:
David Letterman
Carsen Daly
Samantha Bee
Jay Leno
Craig Fergurson
Arsenio Hall
Chelsea Handler
Chevy Chase
Mo'Nique
Tavis Smiley
Magic Johnson

I don't buy that at all David... I watch British comedians, Scottish Comedians, Irish comedians... hell, even Canadian comedians use different slang words. And I find many of them hilarious (Especially the Scots)

Trevor Noah?? Not funny at all.

Agree. British humor is supposed to be as dry as it gets for English speakers, and I have zero issues with getting their jokes. Trevor Noah is just not funny.

Miko, it probably helps that half my immediate family is British, so it's not as dry to me.. (or maybe my sense of humour is drier that anyone :) )

I deal regularly with British customers plus I will watch my share of British shows via online platforms. What I find interesting is the changes in tone seem to be pretty important in their responses. I've seen the word "right" range from complete agreement to complete disagreement - with a continuum of "strong" or "weak" messaging - all based on tone. JMHO based on my experiences. Americans tend to be more clear in meaning behind their words - with sarcasm much easier to detect.

I'm confused and maybe DavidSt, the english language's best friend, can help me out. Is Trevor Noah from South African? Or, is Trevor Noah South African?

Why we should listen to comedians
Bill Hicks was a maniac who could not stand any of my political positions. He was also talented, funny, and a force of nature. I listened to him and applauded.

I didn't agree with Carlin on a lot of things. He was funny talented, irreverent, and brilliant. I listened to him and applauded.

Jimmy Kimmel is a moist sponge. Trevor Noah is a 2-D K-Mart Menswear ad. None of that crowd are actual comedians in that sense, they are political joke readers.

I got to see him live at Sir-Laffs-A-Lot in Memphis. Glad I was in Row 2. He destroyed the people on Row 1. Also made a big old cowboy heckler cry and leave the room.
