Guy bedside me asked if anyone had ever actually heard what he says. I told him that it depends on how much he drinks during the tail gate.

Yes, he does because the game atmosphere absolutely sucks at Foreman Field. When your defense is on the field and has your opponent pinned at 3rd long, fans should not be sitting quietly in their seats waiting to see what happens. They should be standing up making enough noise that it makes communication difficult for the opponent. My only hope at this point is that next week when ODU travels to Blacksburg, ODU admin and fans finally experience a game atmosphere that is crazy enough to disrupt the visiting team. If at any point in a game at VT, the PA starts the intro to Enter Sandman, the whole stadium explodes with emotion. It's a rallying point that the team feeds off of. If Wilder and company were smart, they'd make the team practice under such conditions this week.
I sat in section 102 yesterday. It was so disappointing to see the fans so unresponsive, even when the football team itself was signaling from the sideline to get loud by moving their arms up and down and waving their towels. (In case y'all didn't know that's what they meant.) I can't imagine any decent recruit would sign on for that lack of support.
Isn't there someone on this board who works for the athletic department?
Agree completely. And it's embarrassing. Everyone in that stadium should own this fundamentally and do their part to change it.

Sadly posting about it on here the only ones that read it aren't the issue. It's the season ticket holders that are there for a pleasant evening of football watching.
Posted from mobile device. Hopefully it's coherent.

It does but spending any money on Foreman other than what it absolutely necessary at this point would be horribly irresponsible by the athletic department. Fixing the sound system with 10 games left in the life of the place would be an awful investment.
It was about $500 to fix it last time from what I was told. Doesn't seem like that is too much to ask for to keep many fairly large donors happy. Does it ? That is not horribly irresponsible. It is horribly irresponsible to not fix it.
Obviously the $500 didn't fix it, at least not for long.

Maybe we could participate at a level where we don't have to prostitute ourselves to every clown offering us $1.00!

Maybe if CUSA didnt suck and actually increased our media revenue up from $1million instead of down to $200k. And its hard to get on the fans for not being into the game when you're down 30 at half and can even get a first down in the first quarter. I also forgot to even look for the stripe the stadium success. Did it happen? I wore the right color, did everyone else?

The gray and navy seemed to kind of just meld together. Should probably stick with doing navy and white when striping the stadium.

not really. The horizontal stripe was noticeable but did not "pop" like it does when we do the vertical stripes by section.

Yeah, I think the vertical stripes would have helped out a lot. There just wasn't a ton of surface area for the grey. Also, even though a lot of people participated, there was a heavy contingent of UNC fans that messed it up a bit.

You are absolutely right. Our crowd seemed like a wine and cheese one to a friend of mine who i tagged along for the trip. He said UNC band and fans made more noise than us. The home side and student section were atleast making some noise but the east side was terribly silent and felt like they were watching a game of curling. Gotta do better than that.

I completely agree but we dont have any crowd involvement with the PA announcer hyping the crowd up, no noise meter on the scoreboard, none of that. I just yell every down against UNC but to get the lazy wine and cheese crowd up you need help. That being said, we looked terrible in the first half so its hard when you are down 39-7 right away.

104 pretty consistently into the game, especially given the circumstances of the first 2.

My point exactly....There was no All aboard Ha .... that was loud clear and separate. There needs to be a pause (3- 5 sec) between the video and the music / narrative in the video to the All Aboard - Crazy Train music part. Maybe I didn't hear it because the audio is so piss poor in section 105. There were several donors around me that were very pissed about the poor audio quality. We cant even hear about who sponsors are or who / what is being recognized on the field. Make for a horrible game atmosphere for some high paying fans / supporters.
