I miss Jiff
Jiff single handily destroyed ECU's program. Jim Phillips was a great AD, still is.
He was world class.
I especially loved the world class memories he gave us Labor Day Weekend 2014.

Possibly the worst AD to ever be at NIU was Compher, Frazier may end up giving him a run for his money though.

Fire Carey
Why was he even extended in first place?
He wasn't going anywhere. Can you imagine this dolt interviewing for another coaching job at a bigger school?

I really don't recall any of our offensive players cramping.

Ha, good point. And, I mean, cramping when it's 50 degrees out?

That was a game that should have been won or at least the Huskies should have tried to win it but when you do not call one pass play into or near the end zone with 1st down at the BC 25 yard line with nearly 1 minute left, what else can you say!
You do not play for ties and going to OT, you play to win the game you call at least 1 pass play either into the end zone or at least to the 10 yard line. You never know what could happen, a Huskie receiver could outrun his defender or you get a Pass interference call in your favor. Alot of good things can happen but when all you do is call runs up the middle that are easy to defend you do not give your offense and your team a chance to win in regulation and that fault is on the coaching staff and specifically the OC and Head Coach, not the players.
Huskie players played their heads off. D was terrific and the O line did a great job considering the quality of the opposition. This one is on the coaching staff pure and simple

You hit the nail on the head, so we better hope and pray Graham's arm is improved. Don't want to think what it would be like if he does worse.

One DL lost his show 3 times I believe. The 1st time he was running off behind the play, BC offence and an NIU coach motioned for him to go down, as he was running with his show. He just fell in a lethargic manner and half-a$$ed held his foot then limped off.
MY immediate thought was it was pathetic and bush.

It's odd when you read comments by the head coach and starting qb that the QB seems more concerned on his ability to remain the starter than the HC.
I just don't get what's going on at QB. And I am not in the minority.

I agree with you, Carey played for the tie. They did throw towards the end zone on third down. It was uncatchable out of bounds.

I did like the WR throw to the QB.
They didn't play scared all the time just very conservative at the wrong times and it costed them the game.

Yea, most of us are wondering what the hell is going on out there.

Yep. Houston Nutt did a great explaining this too.

RE: Fire Carey
I don't know that trying to score from the 25 is a play that Graham is likely to make. At least, he didn't show that ability most of the game. I'd rather he try shorter passes to get a first down. We had a little time still, and timeouts. At least, we did before Carey wasted most of the time remaining.

We are a QB away from being a very good football team. Granted that is the most important position...but we have a pretty talented ball club that has enough on both sides of the ball to beat most of our conference schedule.
Tell that to Rod. He thinks he has the guy.

What would you say if you ran the club? "Uh we don't really believe we have a QB on the roster who has an arm and understands the offense so we will take the guy that makes the least mistakes."
This type of comment just has me shaking my head.

Watched a TON of college football the last 5 days. Love how the football season started. That being said watching dozens of coaches I can say Carey is the bottom of the barrel. Why would anyone commit to play for this ass. Great coaches and programs throughout college football. Carey is BRUTAL.

Not much we can do about it. We can put pressure on STF, but there isn't the money to buy Carey out. Even if fans don't show up, nothing will happen. So, our choice is to live with the situation, or take a nice long vacation until basketball season starts. Then get ready for the fire Monty campaign. But with our current AD, it would not even shock me to see both coaches get another extension.
