RE: Scrimmage
We are approaching our first game and haven't seen the new Uniform combos that were referenced a few weeks back.
I didn't see any hint of them at the scrimmage.

Hip Hip Hooray for Satchel Ziffer's new blog. Looks like it will be as good as Bleed Blue was. Great stuff:

RE: Scrimmage
Random tidbit that of course I would notice from this scrimmage, but I feel like the band is already in midseason form. Very impressed so far. Low Brass did a very good job after what I thought was a lackluster year in 2016. Trumpets are good though they still don't have the screamer which I think is necessary for any college band. They played a lot of new songs, and with the exception of a few bungled solos (which is to be expected this early in the year) they played very well. Whoever's idea it was to (finally) play Sweet Caroline hit the bullseye I think. People were singing along with it for a scrimmage, can't wait to see that one played gameday. I think it'll be a fan favorite. They've also improved singing Victory during field goals. A few people around me commented positively about that.

The band also had an honest-to-goodness twirler now, so I'm excited to see how they integrate her into performances/gameday traditions.

I wish the crowd would get into yelling "O" "O" "oH oH oh ohhhhhh" during 7 nation army too. Makes perfect sense for a school whose name starts with O.

Great blog. Look forward to reading it. So he says Arnold is 4th QB. Drayton seems like a great player and a good guy, any chance he switches to a different position? I can't see a kid that talented wanting to ride the pine after this season. I guess he could still move up to #2, but it sounds like Williams is already separating himself for the #1 next year. Would hate to see Drayton leave.
