Just prior to the scrimmage all of the players were huddled at the 50 and broke into huge cheers congratulating #45 Demetrius Stitmon. Perhaps rewarded with a scholly.

Hoy hits G Jackson with a quick short pass and he gets around the end and runs for about a 70 yd touchdown. Hoy in with second offense so he may have moved up the depth chart. Not sure.

Hoy looks quick and evasive making guys miss in the open field for about a 50 yd TD run. It is a scrimmage though so who knows ...

Blake has looked steady and athletic but nothing standout yet. Made a nice pass on a line down the middle of the field for about 20 yards.

Williams in 3rd. Eyeball test says this kid has a bright future!

Two missed field goals so far (both roughly 40 yd kicks)

Duck of a kick good for a 32 yd field goal. Rotating kickers.

Better looking FG from about 30 again.

Jackson looking fast and elusive with another touchdown.

47 yd FG falls short by a couple yards.

Williams throws a 20 yd interception at the front of the end zone, middle field. Receiver didn't appear to be ready. Not sure if that was on the receiver or Williams. It was a nice haul by the defender.

Isaiah Harper takes the kickoff 99.5 yards for a TD. He's FAST!

Arnold with a sweet 50 yard bomb for a TD!

Pat Toal, Justice Davila and Sean Carter all were not dressed to play. All three should have been starters this season. Hope they recover quickly.

None of the QBs had great evenings. I was the most impressed with Hoy, although he missed a wide open receiver down the middle of the field on a vertical route. I'm guessing here, but the coaches probably haven't named a starter because none of the QBs are separating themselves. Not many downfield connections tonight and all QBs struggled in the red zone.

We might be seeing a freshman play at DT. Ryan Londree didn't play either so the depth there may be a problem.

Only other thought was that the second team defensive line dominated the second team o-line. I'm not sure how much depth we will have on the offensive line this year.

Doesn't sound encouraging...
Sounds like we have a lot of work to do this week.
