For some reason Dortmund just fell apart there at the end.
That's been there MO for the last 2 weeks. Did it again Werder Bremen in the Pokal and last weekend against Hoffenheim.
BTW, Pulisic was absolutely awful yesterday.

Got too big for his breeches and now he's going to a squad that'll bury him on the depth chart just like his current situation. It's a damn shame...kid could be special, but I don't see him as anything more than a bit player for Chelsea, which is really going to kill his progression. Only hope is that he can do the De Bruyne career arc and come back stronger in a similar situation.

His development has been stunted for almost 2 full seasons. Even last year he didnt really progress...injuries played a part in that.
I think he will be more than a bit player for Chelsea just because Chelsea doesnt have many options in his positions. Hazard is probably gone...WIllian is on the downside of his career as is Pedro. Loftus Cheek seems like he is just waiting to leave.
He will get opportunities.
The scary thing for a Chelsea fan is how easily Spurs bullied him yesterday. He was playing opposite Winks, Aurier, and Foyth most of the game. These arent big physical players by any stretch. And they dominated him physically. Dispossessed him several times.
By contrast, Sancho on the other side of the field had to go against Sissoko, Alderwerield and Vertonghen. 3 big fast physical players. And while they managed to control him as the game went on, he looked like he belonged. He could hold the ball and take the punishment.

FA Cup Quarterfinal Draw is tonight: There are 6 premier league sides left plus Millwall and Swansea from the Championship. I guess since Swansea is midtable in the Championship this year, with no chance at relegation or promotion, we should probably root for the weakest possible draw to provide the greatest chance at a Semifinal.
Since the chances are slim and none that we'd face Millwall than I guess I should probably root for a draw against Wolves, Watford, Brighton, or Palace.
Now that I said that, we are certain to draw Man City away...

Levien will sell the stadium away before the home leg of a semifinal.

Thankfully he doesn’t own the stadium. He’s wanted to, but we got relegated right as talks were heating up

Well it was a nice run while it lasted. City did lose to Wigan last year, so I guess anything is possible

Thanks the lord for small miracles.....because he's gonna sell everything he can to make his and Kaplan's money back. At this point, him and Kaplan are basically a hedge fun. Selling parts for cash flow.

I know that MLS Sides traditionally play poorly early in CONCACAF Champions League play because the tournament begins two weeks before the MLS Season opener, but get a load of this score:
Independiente (Pan) 4 Toronto FC 0
Ouch. They'll be out of the tournament before MLS play starts unless they win by at least 4 goals at home next week.
In less alarming play. Houston won away to the Guatemalan Champs 1-0. NYRB plays in the Dominican Republic tomorrow against the Caribbean Champ. Atlanta faced Costa Rican Champs Herediano on Thursday while Sporting KC got the bad luck draw against Mexican side Toluca.

Toronto lost 5-1 to Las Vegas FC in there last game. I'm just spitballing here but a team that missed the playoffs by like 10 points last season and then lost the only player that can hold the ball and create offense might not be very good.

Also, Terrance Boyd(who somehow is still alive and plays for TFC) skied a PK about 10 yards above the goal. Roberto Baggio thought it was a bad PK.

Uruguay 2 - Juventus 0.
IMO, should have been 3-0. At least CR7 sold lots of jerseys.

Pulling for Millwall to make Wembley just so I can see their fans brawl with each other again ala vs Wigan 2013.

Mixed MLS Results continue in CCL play.
NYRB dominated away against a Dominican Republic based side 2-0
Sporting Kansas City meanwhile did their best Atlanta United impression and absolutely pounded Toluca 3-0 at home. Largest MLS win over Mexican opposition in CCL history
Atlanta United meanwhile...look like a typical Frank DeBoar coached side. Getting obliterated 2-0 30 minutes in against Costa Rican champs Herediano, they look thoroughly surprised that CONCACAF teams might be actually pretty good at this football thing.

Frank de Boer wont last the season I bet. He played a back 3 which is fine and the players in it were fine but they were completely out of position in the back 3.
Parkhurst, who has the pace of my dead grandma at this point, was played on the left instead of centrally. Miles Robinson, who might be the fastest CB in MLS but also the most positionally unaware, was playing centrally.
As a result, the entire backline was out of sorts and and the 2 center midfielders were out numbered all game. They were a tactical mess.
Normally, I would say its the managers first game and he's still learning the players and their abilities. However, we've seen the deBoer show before. He doesnt have a Plan B in a game or in a season.
