It always makes a difference. I would imagine if you asked Amauri Hardy why he chose UNLV, playing time would be a consideration. Hardy might start from day one for the Rebels.
We don't have a single player that any decent recruit should be worried about when it comes to playing time.
Missing the point. At least my point. That was about last year vs this year recruiting. Last year, during the late period, recruits were seeing 4 positions locked up. This year, they're seeing 1 position locked up.
4 positions locked up? Dude.
You don't think 4 position on the 2016-17 team were locked up when Tubby arrived last April? Which of Dedric, KJ, Markel, Jeremiah were you going to bench for a juco or late signee? That will help me to understand how we can truly be better this coming year without those guys.
I kind of hope you are joking, but you seem insistent.
Martin 2.7 ppg, 1.2 apg, 33.3% fg
Markel 5.3 ppg, 1.4 apg
KJ 8.8 ppg
Dedrick, recruits scared of him because as the only big on the roster he might play 80 mpg at both the 4-5 and take all their playing time
The thought that ANY decent recruit would be scared off by our roster is hilarious in my opinon, but...whatever floats your boat

If you had not seen practice, there WAS some doubt over PG position. So 3 dead locks.

So you're saying we're not losing much, and Tubby was right not to beg them to stay.

Really, seems twisting logic has become the new hobby here. With some of the old timers back and all.

Many on MT.org have given AK crap since day one.
Personally, I have always felt that AK has done a super job at Ole Miss. OM is probably the worst from basketball supporting admin and alum in the country. I mean they could CARE LESS whether AK and rebel hoops has any success
We missed out on Andy Kennedy when we were replacing Cal and Josh. Hopefully when Coach Smith retires we should immediately hire Andy Kennedy.
Again AK is the perfect coach for Memphis. Too many of our lame brained followers just look at his NCAA results at OM playing in the most God awful college basketball facility in the Country.
Today OM has a bad A$$ home court
If Andy Kennedy would be such a good hire at Memphis, why is he still at Mississippi? there have been dozens of coaches hired since 2009 and I have never heard his name mentioned.
Are you saying that you know more than every other AD and search firm out there?
or is there something about Kennedy that will work at Memphis and wont work anywhere else?
I'm quoting myself to again ask the question why has AK not been picked up by another school?

because nobody wants him, and I don't want him either. however, if he was the coach here......I would give him the same wait and see I am giving Tubby.
