I really like the idea of the BJCC doubleheader.
Unless something has just changed Chattanooga is not listed as one of the participants in the Cayman Islands Classic.

It'd be nice if we got some H&H with some good CAA, A-10, MVC, or MWC teams.

H&H with a school near Savannah? Guessing that would be Georgia Southern.

Little obsessed with Pearl are we? My point that you clearly missed was that we need to worry about what WE do. Pearl has a right to do what's best for them. Like it or not. If we lose to them these next two years and go 0-4 in this series, Pearl will dictate the terms of the next contract with us. If there is one. He might decide playing a 200+ RPI program does his program no good. By the way that's why our home schedule sucks. Not because teams fear us like some of you geniuses think, but because win or lose playing us doesn't help their resume. Another benefit of CUSA. You can email that to your bff Ehsan too.

"Our team will be physically very different. We'll look at different lineups. With (6-foot-10 signee Makhtar (Gueye) coming and Lewis, we'll be longer and maybe quicker in the frontcourt. They can play different positions. The backcourt may be smaller, but quicker with Nick, Scootie (point guard signee Zack Bryant) and Nate (Darling) as well."
Coach is mentioning Norton, Gueye, Bryant, Sullivan and Darling. That behooves me to believe that Coach believes that those five are quite capable of coming right in, next season, and playing significant amounts of playing time, along side Lee and Cokley.

Yep Mak is the jewel of the class and thats the top seven add two guys and its probably the rotation.
Leaves two guards and one big for a ten man rotation. These three could get 10-14 minutes. Also it could be the reason Eshan wants a shooter like Perry for three the guard set as Deion and JD probably comes off the bench and they didnt shoot it well.
I actually expect Deion to be the most improved from the offseason and prove alot of people wrong with a huge season.
JD i still buy stock in waiting to see the complete roster. But if we can get back to his old form and fix his shot he could a huge part going forward.

Glad to see the non-conference schedule coming together...and I agree we should be playing Chattanooga H&H...a solid basketball program from the Southern Conference (there are others)...from 1981 to 2014 UAB and Chattanooga played 13 times...UAB leads the series 10-3.
Check out former UAB player James Ponder's posts in the comments section of the original al.com article...he played on 4 straight NCAA Tournament teams for Coach Gene Bartow (84, 85, 86, 87) and he absolutely nails it with his commentary.
