I know that getting into an auto bid conference help with recruiting, but are people glad to be in the WAC than the Big West? It seems like CSUB has set itself apart from other Big West schools by being in the WAC. Especially, when the conference is rated much higher than the Big West.
The last the last two years the BW was rated much higher than the WAC. Let's see if this WAC uptick is a trend or one or two year flash in the pan.

CSUB's leading scorer Jaylin Airington had just five points on free throws. 0-7 from the floor. And they still built up a 25 point lead.

But the Big West champ, who was the #2 seed in conf, got a 16-seed play in. What does that say about the BWC

It says with zero top-100 teams, that this was a historically bad year and it should rebound next year.

Well, the next one for the WAC will be the tallest order. If NMSU can produce the miracle upset that would be one incredible week for WAC teams in the postseason. Too bad GCU didn't play. I think they could have actually won the CIT. Maybe Majerle didn't want those games interviewing with his trip to Illinois!

I've got NMSU over Baylor in my bracket, so here is to 4-0!

That's very kind of you but I'm hoping for a miracle. Baylor is loaded and at one time this season was ranked #1. This would probably be the biggest upset in NMSU basketball history. I don't count our win vs. UNLV the year they won the national championship because it was a home game in front of a rabid crowd and NMSU was also ranked that year. This team has a great record, the best ever, but I don't we have the horses to compete with a Big 12 team in their backyard. I hope I'm wrong. I'm ashamed but in my bracket I have us losing. Love my team and university but I'm also not entirely infected with homerititis.

Its over i understand. Sounds like the Ags hung in and gave it a good shot...just too much Baylor size. Still congrats to Ags players, fans and Weir, for a great year by any measure.

The Roos fall to Wyoming but Bako could help get a 2-1 for the WAC later tonight.

Roos played worst game of season probably because Boyd played his worst game of season (5pts). Bakersfield looking like they should have been an at large.

Runners looking good, but I feel like I've read RunnerBall posts about letting teams back in games late. Here is hoping the hang on. Survive & advance, right?

IF CSUB wins in ARLINGTON----they go to MSG for the NIT final four.
It would be one of the biggest stories of the post season IMO !!!
