Yes, because we shoot like crap on the road.

Worried about both road games.

those numbers are the type of numbers teams have that go to the final four and beyond

This UC team has gotten to where I expected they could offensively. Top 40 offense, inching towards top 30. I've been surprised by the defensive slip the last few weeks. They were a top 5 kenpom adjusted defense at one point and I expected them to be around there all season. Need to get back to that level. If they get there they are a borderline contender.

KJ has really been shooting well from 3pt-land last several games. I hope this continues on into March. Hate to see him do this and then get into the AAC tourney and beyond and be ice cold. Hopefully he just keeps rolling.

Caupain had his bounce back last night and was rolling. Let your horses run mick. I even seen troy receive a outlet pass from almost half court. Was really impressed with his swagger last night.

KJ is playing like a senior on a mission. It's very gratifying to see his effort to finish a very solid UC career with excellence. A senior guard playing that way is a real asset in March Madness and UC will have two seniors in the back court which bodes very well during crunch time. We already saw what Troy could do in the NCAA with his ability to close out against Purdue.

I try not to get too excited about next month, but this team possesses a combination of skills we haven't witnessed before in the Cronin years. Let's enjoy the ride.

I don't remember all the details of the game but IIRC it took the Cats some time to figure out/adjust to Tacko. Second time around they will do better. UCF is 6-2 at home this year in conference games. They lost to SMU and UConn.

Looking at the box score from the last matchup, the things that stand out to me are that 1) Gary and Troy both had an awful shooting night (a combined 5-24) and that 2) Brooks did not play. Nysier may only add 2-4 points, but I think he would be helpful matched up against Fall.

Anything can happen and as our road woes are well documented, but I think we win by 7-8 points.

I agree. If our guys are focused and making some shots they may have an easier path to victory in Orlando than their struggle with UCF in Cincy. I don't imagine the "crowd" will be a factor.

Alternately,if UC comes out and scores nine points in the first ten minutes of the half, it might be a very long afternoon. One thing is for sure: more eyes are watching our Bearcats down the stretch than anytime in recent memory. Let's hope they rise to the challenge of being one of America's best teams.

I seem to remember Washington riding the pines a lot with early foul trouble, too (though I was watching in a bar, so don't trust my memories).

Agree. I think the key is "road woes" does not translate to road losses. Throw out the "neutral floor" game against Rhode Island, the Cats are 7-2 on the road. Those losses were against two ranked opponents. My money is on the Cats not crapping the bed against a middlin' UCF team. The last road game against UConn is troubling. Not that we can't beat them but it could be UConn's "superbowl" to win their last home game against a ranked opponent and we may be playing for a share of the conference title. Will the guys play tight as a tick? One game at a time.

Prior to Memphis, the nitty gritty report predicted UC to lose 1 more conference game. Today they predict them to win their last three. Did they really think our 1 more loss would have been at home to Memphis?

No. Uc was favored in every remaining game, but when you're say an 80% favorite you're expected to lose 20% of the time. The more games left the more likely you are to lose one of them. Pretty basic statistics.

RPI Forecast/Live-RPI has UC in the mid 70% range to win each remaining game but lists the projected finish in the AAC at 16-2. Computer model shows that there will likely be a slip up it just does't know where.

SMU won at UConn today so they are expected to win both remaining home games against Tulsa and Memphis. If we finish 16-2 the conference title goes bye-bye. That would be a brutal way to finish the regular season IMO. One game at a time.
