They had a fast break opportunity and Capa in pulls back. This is why teams come back, Mick and Troy go into stall ball mode and it makes us lethargic

Mick told his main man troy to start playing stall ball with 4min left in 1st half

Offense has been fine. Mick slowed it down because the defense went like 6 minutes without a stop at one point

Not what happened. Defense was getting killed even as uc kept scoring. Slowed down to help struggling d

They do seem like really nice kids which I like but they need to get a killer instinct on the court.

They had a killer instinct before halftime. I get it. It's tough to stay fired up when you go into half with a blowout at home.

I told guys on the conference board this was going to get sloppy and tight in the second half.

I wanna believe that these guys really are just bored with the AAC this year.....but then you look at gonzaga and how they are dominating.

But then again, even in a down year, the AAC >>>>> the WCC

That got too close for comfort. UC's vaunted defense was non-existent in the 2nd half. But they got the win against a talented team.

Amen.
No killer instinct.

Hope they had Nick Van Exel talk to them after the game about staying hungry and not getting complacent. When the 92 Bearcats got you down by 20 they wanted to beat you by twice that and kept the intensity up.

It's not tough if you're hungry and want to crush teams and not just hold on to get the W.

Led by 19 at the half, won by 13. Outscored 42-36 second half. The sloppiness and loss of focus will give Mick something to get on 'em about before the next game. All that aside, Cats keep pace with SMU. I want a damn conference title (or share).
