I predicted 20-11 in the regular season. I think we get there. Anything else is gravy.

Considering our total lack of depth and the amount of minutes they guys are playing, it's a wonder we haven't had a few more stinkers along the way. If everyone stays around then this is the kind of year that will hugely benefit next year's team with hopefully more depth coming in. Tubby has done a fine job with this group so far.

Agree. Very pleased with his coaching so far - recruiting is the big unknown.

The record is a little better than I expected but the way the guys play is remarkably different from Pastner. They laid an egg Saturday but have won some close tough games.

If you go to YouTube and look at some Tiger games 10-15-20 years ago it is shocking how much more above the rim we played back then. The last few years we are just about glued to the court.

Hope we have some athletes coming in.

I predicted an NIT berth and victory before the season, but I did not account for injuries and low bench production. Now we will be fortunate to earn an NIT bid.

The number of victories do not interest me as much as the quality (i.e. rivals like the Black Bears and top 50 teams) and when (i.e., post season).

I think I said 18-15 or something like that.

No matter what else you say about Tubby, you have to acknowledge that he knows how to run a program.

Agreed.

RE: How is this team stacking up compared to our predictions?
We've definitely exceeded my expectations. I thought about 18 wins was the max for this team coming in. The margin for error for this team to win a game is so small, that 17-7 is pretty amazing. Essentially we need at least 3 of our 5 starters to have to good-to-great games to have a chance. We have to win the turnover battle by a significant amount because we're going to lose the battle on the boards due to a lack of size. We have to play great defense, because we're not overly talented on the other end, and don't have great 3pt shooting. We can afford 0 foul trouble because we have no depth. I'd love another crack at Monmouth, Providence and the Black Bears because we're better now than we were in November/December.

Kudos to them. Just keep winning.

It's easy to "succeed" when you have low expectations.

Is filling out a roster part of running a program?

We're doing better than I expected. I consider 20 wins a good season. We should get there.

To no surprise, I had Memphis at seven losses at this point, with a final regular season record of 21-10 (11-7 in conference).

I'll bet you a steak dinner so you can possibly get one back of the 2.. I haven't watched but 2 games all year so you should have the upper hand.. I've watched Cinci and SMU and from what I've seen I don't think we will beat them.. The other loss I think will be at UCONN!!

We were wondering about you. You just ditched us man. You got to be a better fan than only watching two games dude, come on man! For starters wonder boy is gone. Time to be a fan again, and secondly we should be even since I kept telling Trump was going to win.

As for a steak dinner, I just paid $1800.00 for a new hot water heater. I can afford a milkshake right now and nothing more.
