Marshall's already been told we'll host Southern Miss and play at UTSA.

I really hope they match up teams that haven't played recently. Tech has NEVER played FAU or Charlotte, and we've only played Marshall in the title game (and in like 1942 or something like that). Haven't played the Herd in the regular season as C-USA opponents.

Personally, I'd like Tech to host Marshall and play at FAU. But knowing C-USA we'll probably end up playing WKU and FIU again since they like pairing us up every dang year.

With UAB they probably don't know yet.

UNT is expecting to play ODU and Charlotte next year based on the fact UNT has not played either of those teams yet. Plus, earlier this year, the ODU beat writer published that ODU would play UNT next year. Haven't seen/heard any confirmation regarding Charlotte.

Are they related to the airport schools in FL.

I hope we play a bunch of teams our fan base doesn't want to see us play.

I won't be disappointed.

WKU has yet to play Charlotte. I'd like to play @Charlotte.

Charlotte has never played WKU, UNT, La Tech, UTEP, and UAB. Hopefully we'll get to play everyone over the next two seasons.

I have selfish reasons for wanting USM to play AT FIU and/or FAU.

If I could pick it would be.

Divisional games will change this year because of the addition of UAB. If they did permanent cross rivals I think we would get UAB or USM so replace UTSA with either.

You guys will play every year starting in 2017 as you'll be division mates and we'll have balanced divisions again.

Why's that?

Shouldn't have a permanent cross-division rival without going to 9 conference games. Otherwise it would take 12 years for every team to complete a home-and-home with every team in the other division. Bad enough that it takes 7 years to complete a home-and-home with the other division playing two rotating cross-division games.

Every team needs to play each team in the other division before starting the rotation over so every team plays all teams in the conference once every 3-4 years.

Example rotation using team E1 against teams W1-W7:
Year 1 home vs W1, at W2
Year 2 home vs W3, at W4
Year 3 home vs W5, at W6
Year 4 home vs W7, at W1
Year 5 home vs W2, at W3
Year 6 home vs W4, at W5
Year 7 home vs W6, at W7

I would assume it would be LT, UNT and USM/Rice or may be not when has logic ever prevailed at CUSA HQ when prepping schedules. They are a bunch of lethargic **** heads when it comes to scheduling.
