I know we are playing UTSA at home, but I don't know who the other one is.

None. eligible for title in 2017. That has never been in question.

Thanks for the info. Not sure where I thought I got that from. So with that being said I "project" USM will play following conf schedule:

home - UNT, UTEP, UTSA
road - La Tech, UAB, Rice
cross over games will be 2 from WKU/MT/FIU/FAU. With us having played Charlotte and ODU the last 2 years and then Marshall every year since 2005 I feel like we will not play them again

-@Marshall, we have played them every year home/away rotating since 2005, I really don't see the conference changing that, we hosted them this year
-Either FAU, FIU, or MTSU (assuming we're sticking w/ the rotating 3 cross divisional games of 2 home 1 away every other year, this year we had 2 home-Marshall/Charlotte and 1 away @ODU)

*Edit* On second thought, I doubt we'll be playing MTSU because we would officially have the toughest conf. schedule playing La Tech, WKU, Marshall, and MTSU. 04-jawdrop

That was our schedule this year! All on the road!! 03-banghead

But you didn't play us.

I would like to think CUSA would split up La Tech and UAB from both being possible road games but then again.....it's the CUSA office we're talking about.

You must be kidding. One thing you can count on is UNT will NOT play ODU or Charlotte, UNT will play AT WKU (or is that just basketball?) and UNT will play the top three teams from the other division.

Just kidding ... kinda ...

I hope you're wrong. As a UNT alum living in Richmond I would much rather they play at ODU.

The divisional games are pretty much set.

Southern Miss: @Rice, @Tech, UTSA, UTEP, North Texas (@UAB)
Tech: @UTEP, @Rice, @UTSA, North Texas, Southern Miss (UAB)
North Texas: @Tech, @Southern Miss, Rice, UTSA, UTEP (@UAB)
Rice: @North Texas, @UTEP, @UTSA, Southern Miss, Tech (UAB)
UTSA: @North Texas, @Southern Miss, @UTEP, Tech, Rice (UAB)
UTEP: @North Texas, @Southern Miss, Tech, UTSA, Rice, (@UAB)
UAB: @Tech, @Rice, @UTSA, North Texas, Southern Miss, UTEP

Each team will have 3 home and 3 road divisional games and 1 road and 1 home cross-divisional game.

I think you'll play all East division members and just 2 West division.

If I remember correctly, in order to have a championship game, you have to play all the members in the division (we've had exemptions for this year and last)

You're right. With UAB back it will be 6 division games and 2 cross division games from now on.

Ahhh. That sounds so good.

I hope CUSA takes this opportunity to fix one thing about the rotation I dislike. At Rice we have all of the other Texas teams on the road one year then home the next. I wish they would mix it up a bit. Have at least one of them opposite.

To a degree I feel the same way about USM's Texas schedule. This current season we played 3 of the 4 on the road. Hopefully, but doubtful, CUSA splits it up along with the UAB and La Tech games. Those are our closest 2 opponents and the way it's set up we play both of them away next season. It is what it is but it isn't fan travel friendly.

Agree with the posters above.

North Texas, like Rice, plays the other Texas teams all on the road or all at home; I'd like to mix it up. Seems like the three non-Texas West teams would probably like two at home and two on the road every year

No, they're related to the knuckle-draggers in the southern part of Mississippi.

Same thing with Tech. We played our 2 closest opponents (USM and UNT) on the road with UTSA, UTEP, Rice at home. Which means last year (and next year) our closest road games are Rice and UTSA.

I hope they fix the Marshall/WKU/Middle deal also. We either get both at home or both on the road. Two road trips to the same general area means I usually skip one of them.

So we have 1-1. WKU has 2 home and Middle has 2 road. Someone get the short end of the stick.

Because we obviously have control over who our cross-divisional games are...

I hope we play y'all again just so y'all will shut up.. geez. Like congrats, you beat us in your stadium (in OT) the one time we've played. Whoop de do.

You know who we're 1-0 against?
Virginia, Louisville, Michigan State, to name a couple. 2-0 vs Illinois FWIW.

What about in conference?
5-0 vs UAB, 3-0 vs FIU, 10-2-1 vs UTEP, 4-1 vs UTSA, I could keep going. Do you see us making a big deal about those? No.

Lighten up, seriously. It's not that big a deal. We're not scared of you. I give you credit for beating us in 2014, congrats on that. But it's 2016 now. We're about to play in our 2nd title game in 3 years, you're going to your first bowl game and look like you could be one of our better teams going forward. We've got new things to be concerned with and should be focusing on that, not worried about a game 2 (about to be 3) seasons ago that wasn't even a big time game in the conference.

Congrats on the bowl, I'll be cheering you on against Eastern Michigan.
