That they did. Liberals are hypocrites.

Only liberal states are allowed to leave apparently.

Im okay with it though. I dont hold any grudges over it. Cali can leave if they want. I support them if thats what they want to do.

The farmers in the SFV can come.

You would only have to build the wall around the Bay Area, in the San Gabriel mountain passes, and at Camp Pendleton (San Diego stays!).

Conservatives on this thread seem to agree. Let them leave.

I'd like to denote for the sake of being on a sports board, in the second scenario the ACC does lose Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Notre Dame, and Boston College.

That's okay though, they can be replaced with West Virginia, Cincinnati, and/or the red parts of the B1G. Indiana for sure. Probably Purdue and Ohio State too.

Crazy? Uh, I think you meant to say that all secession supporters from red states are clearly neo-confederate racists looking to restart slavery, DUH. I heard Bill Maher and the Daily Show say it so it must be true.

“In our view, the United States of America represents so many things that conflict with Californian values, and our continued statehood means California will continue subsidizing the other states to our own detriment, and to the detriment of our children,” supporters write on their website. “In 2016, the United Kingdom voted to leave the international community with their ‘Brexit’ vote. Our ‘Calexit’ referendum is about California joining the international community.”

How is this any different than the idiots in Texas that were mad about Obama?

It's surprisingly well put together for a movement only a few days old.

It's not just a few days old. Proposals for this as well as Texas and I understand others have floated around for decades... they're simply repackaged and updated every so often.

I wonder if the libs would use the power of government and even military to force them to stay as they suggested if Texas wanted to secede. I'd be happy to let them go, and I live here. All it does is move us closer to a Republic (strong states)

BTW, this stunt would doom the Democratic Party in the USHOR and the POTUS election for the foreseeable future. The Dems would be down by a supermajority in the USHOR and they would lose over 1/5 of their total Presidential electoral votes that Hilldawg got.

Maybe it's time for Kalifornia to consider a break up into smaller states?

I think the movement is older than a few days.

I heard news reports about Yes California over the summer. I could be mistaken though.

I hope they vote on this and it passes, only to have the SCOTUS strike it down.

Just listened to an AP news report about the California independence movement. Funny that when they reported about it in Texas it was reported as succession not independence.

I'm sure that was just an accident

They wouldn't be independent long. Given the liberals love for open borders they would be voting to join Mexico within 5 years.

Yeah people don't understand how disproportionate California is to the Democrat party puzzle

Let's look at the states that were in play. Trump won:
Florida
Georgia
North Carolina
Pennsylvania
Ohio
Michigan
Wisconson
Arizona
Utah

Crooked Hillary won:
New Hampshire
Colorado
Nevada
Virginia

9-4 unless I'm missing some. That was the game.
