RE: No Big 12 Expansion?
It's been fun hearing you all and very disappointing for me as someone following expansion since 1990. So I'll see you all in 2023? 2025? Unless you think the SBC goes to 12 for football or MWC goes to 14? A-Sun, WAC expansion? UCSD to Big West?

I'll finish off the day to make sure they aren't planning a Dec. expansion or something and try and check in from time to time.

That's an understatement. It just tells you how unstable they are.

Big 12 will now become the biggest punching bag for every other fans from other conferences for not expanding. They will become the most hated conference out of the whole FBS and FCS.

So did they also turn down the extra $ "not" to expand?
They announced no candidate got a super majority but is that because the current members voted "for" more money?

Folks, I've merged the 3 threads on no expansion together to limit clutter and focus the discussion on one thread. Continue as you were.

SEC needs to say no to joke and pansy schools...they don't need two joke schools from Oklahoma. The Sooners would get squashed in the SEC West anyways

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are "pansy schools". I don't think so my friend.

The Big XII is such a joke

Even moreso is the idea that the only path to P5 legitimacy is through this conference??

College football is laughable

I think the one thing that this does is make it MUCH tougher for UConn to leave the AAC for Big East. And probably impossible.

UConn would have only had an interest in leaving the AAC for the Big East if the AAC lost two or more schools.

An intact AAC should see a more lucrative TV contract than the Big East currently has the next time the contract gets negotiated. Plus, UConn would rather have football in the AAC versus the MAC, CUSA, or going Indy.

Because...you know...the networks are in the business of handing our cash...

The AAC isn't going to get anything more and they'll like it.

That's an assumption, might be true might not be true. Since you are gonna be here quite a while you better hope you're wrong 03-nutkick

I mean, he has a slight point...

The B12 will be publicly ridiculed even more after the fiasco this has become.

Big 12 should change their name to The Walking Dead 12 Conference. See them not getting into any playoffs at all from this point out because they will always be at a disadvantage.

Could there be the best G5 and FCS joining forces to be much powerful than the Big 12?

I am a realist.

It is what it is.
UC is already subsidizing their athletic programs to the tune of 54%. We're going to face some seriously hard questions in the near future.
