Would a Bham bowl appearance this year suffice?
I think that would require the AAC champ play in the ny6 bowl but I think that would be a good season for Norvells first year. Given our remaining schedule and our performance thus far, us going back to bham is a very realistic scenario.

Might be ok for Norvell's first bowl but I hope the AAC will want us somewhere else. ST PETERSBURG would be nice vs ACC, maybe even VT.

That place was a dump. I would hope the league and university could place us in a different location.

Birmingham Bowl two years in a row would be a bummer. St Petersburg or Military Bowl would be nice and is tied to top 5 AAC teams.

Any bowl game would suffice for a CFB team with a new coach, new QB and new O system. Norvell is doing a very good job and is recruiting area kids which hasn't been done in a long time.

I hope to NEVER go back to B'ham, and St. Petersburg didn't send me either, but I will go wherever my team goes.

First year coach leading us to a Bowl, sign me up!

I have decided that I won't be going to anymore bowl games that we are in. I went to Mobile and we lost, I went to B'Ham last year and we lost. I'm a jinx.

The B'ham Bowl is a nightmare!!! What a dump of a stadium... surrounding area not good.. concessions are outside on a table. They should not have a bowl at that stadium.

Would be horrible if we had to go back!!!

I am hoping the Tigers can go somewhere else than B'ham and win the dang game. We laid an egg last year, it looked bad. I know there were reasons to it but it still was not a good look.

Yes, it would be a great sign for a rookie coach replacing a franchise qb to go to any bowl. It would surpass suffice.

As far as that specific bowl goes, it is not a good bowl. But we're in the AAC and such is life.

My wish list for a bowl would be whichever gives us a better pay out, a better opponent (power 5) and the best national audience.

Be careful what you wish for...as St Pete Bowl might have the worst date/time for any AAC Bowl Game:

Monday, Dec 26 at 11 AM Eastern (10 AM Central)

That would mean almost all fans (that celebrate it) would have to be in St Pete for Christmas Day (travel on Christmas Day or travel on Christmas Eve, etc...).

This.
All of us would rather eat a filet than a cold hot dog, but I'll be enthused about any bowl game we get to play in this year.
Personally, I still think we can win enough games to do better than Birmingham.

Any bowl is good for year one, but Birmingham was a painful experience last year. I'd prefer pretty much any bowl over there. The Military Bowl would be pretty cool.
