Thanks for the post. Very disappointing. But TK and his teammates have bigger problems tonight. He might try "THE University of Cincinnati" next time the Chiefs are on national tv so his team won't be down 29-0 at half.

My wife and I noticed that right away and wondered if there is a problem between Kelce and the university.

The unsold Club seats are in the south that currently is a horseshoe. All Club Seats were originally $5,000 for a minimum of two with a 3 year commitment. I think they lowered these less desirables to $3,600. I doubt folks are lining up to watch the Little Tommy Show.

Absolutely agree with that statement.
Winning in the AAC is not much of a priority for me. Most major league baseball fans spend little time invested in who wins the International League, the Pacific Coast League, etc. Getting out of the AAC is the only thing I personally am interested in. NOT GETTING INTO A P5 WILL DO IRREPARABLE HARM to the University I have supported for over 35 years. Yes, I still have season tickets and have been to all 5 games this year with a trip to UCF already booked. I root for the Cats to win each game. But UC is now faced with a bowl lineup against MAC, CUSA, and Sun Belt teams.
Tommy is still the coach and his contract extended because UC believes he is helpful getting into the Big 12 with his contacts not just his coaching. The world's largest Golden Corral buffet was built in hopes of getting into a P5 and to generate revenue for competitive balance. So far, neither is working.

Saw that UC is offering a mini plan for the last three home games. Good luck with that...

Yeah - it basically doesn't matter who we hire as head/assistant coaches if we can't get into a real conference. Yes - Houston has had 2 years of success that will come to a screeching halt soon. Temple and Memphis have won a few big games. But it is impossible to keep up with a national stage when you get zero face time in the media, trash schools like Purdue and UK are collection 40 Millions dollars more than you PER YEAR, and getting (and keeping) an opportunity to even play a team on a national stage is unlikely (and then completely decided upon by the P5 team that will play you when they have the lowest risk possible or cancel the game).
Everyone forgets that the success of our previous coaches came when we were part of a BCS conference and not conference USA. The only comparisons you can make between Tuberville's tenure is with Rick Minter. Is Minter avail?

Sick of hearing people make excues about the damn conference. Other than the 7 or 8 years in the BE (which was a borderline big conference itself), we have always been in a lower tier conference. No one is expecting us to go out and compete with OSU right now, but it sure would be nice to compete with the schools in our conference! We are getting killed by the better teams in our conference right now, and that is not acceptable. Stop blaming the conference!

I don't disagree. However, my point on perspectives is the B12 or another P5 invite may not come for years or ever. That has nothing to do with the crap coach that we have in place right now and is taking our program in a downward trajectory. Houston is ranked in the top 5 in a G5 conference. They have an exciting team with a great coach. I would trade with them in a heartbeat instead of being the fourth or fifth best team in the American. Can't worry about or control the "invite to delight" but we can improve our play on the field with a better coach and raise fan interest. Hell, how about someone who can really recruit this 100 mile radius area from campus that we kept hearing about?

Actually we didn't compete very well until we got in the big east, which, while it was looked down upon by the other BCS conferences, was nonetheless a BCS conference itself. Our situation now (hopefully not for much longer) is decidedly disadvantaged.

I think we should pickoff an osu assistant for local interest, should tubs be let go.
Luke Fickell could be great. You and ambitious. Rated a top recruiter and has all the local ties.
Also believe Greg Schiano would love to be a head coach again. Brings a wealth of experience which now includes ohio. Old enough it might even be a final destination.

at least you didn't mention Coombs. I would not want any of these three at UC.

I'd definitely be good with Fickell or Schiano (not a big fan of his age though), and maybe even Mel Tucker at Georgia. Charlie Strong would be a totally unrealistic pipe dream IMO. The one older guy I would definitely take in a heartbeat would be Jim Tressel but would he have any interest? Harlon Barnett at Michigan State might be someone to look at. We are almost definitely going to have to land an assistant this time around. I doubt a current head coach, someone like Brohm or Fleck would be interested with us no longer being P5. Regardless, a head coaching change absolutely MUST be made.

I think Fickell will be at OSU for life. That's the reward for being the one year leader and absorbing the public scorn between Tressel and Meyer. He needs to coach somewhere else before getting a good HC job. He couldn't handle OSU which is a tough task but I still think UC is too big a step for him. Needs MAC conditioning first.
Schiano didn't impress me at RU. The best thing he's done this year is run over a student with his car last week.
Basically I'm concerned about bringing in a B10 guy who will not be coaching B10 players with a B10 budget. I'd rather bring up a new guy who will see UC as a step up rather than Dantonio who looked down his nose at UC while he was here.
