RE: NC State Discussion
If the Monarchs can contain Dayes and Samuels then I think ODU has a chance in this game. If Dayes runs free and they are successful getting the ball to Samuels then I think the spread is about right.

NC State 33 ODU 20

Defensive line needs to come and eat vs the Wolfpack.

Getting Pat Toal back will be a plus adding some depth to that already deep defensive line. NC State has a young quarterback... wouldn't mind seeing him hit the turf once or twice early to get him a little jittery.

This is actually his 3rd year working under his offensive coordinator (prior 2 at Boise State I believe). He has already been granted a redshirt and and a medical redshirt season due to a broken leg last year. As he just enrolled this past year, why doesn't he have to sit out a season?

Even if he graduated from Boise State, how does the NCAA allow him to play 3 full years at NC State? It seems like he should have lost a year somewhere.

You answered your own question. Graduate transfer rules don't require you to sit out for a year.

Just seems strange to have graduated and have 3 years of eligibility. I guess by the time he get out he will have a Doctorate in something.

I've always wondered what athletes do after they graduate with some eligibility left. Peyton Manning graduated in 3 years and finished his last year playing for Tennessee. I know not all apply for grad school, do they just take a couple of classes to ensure their student status?

1. Their kicking game is about as bad as ours is.
2. Their fans hate their coach.
3. They seem to think they will win but are not confident about that.
4. More doom and gloom then people have for our team.
5. They seem to think their defense is horrible?

What makes #2 and #4 true is Doeren's 6-21 ACC record, and the fact that hated rival UNC won 11 games last year and should do well again this year. Their fans don't care about wins against lower level schools.

No, but they sure as hades will care about a loss to a lower level school. If you think they were upset to lose to ECU, just wait to see what happens if (when) they lose to ODU!

I expect NC State will score a TD. Maybe just in garbage time when we have our 3rd stringers in.

Anyone else notice the way DW is gripping the ball. Maybe just a fluky picture. I dunno, even with the gloves, using the laces is pretty basic stuff.
