In the Roanoke Times each week, a reporter from Charlottesville ranks the ACC teams top to bottom. When he got to N. C. State, he wrote that they got surprised last week by losing to ECU. However, they get back to feasting on FCS Old Dominion. When I read that, I thought, WTF? Doesn't a reporter in state not even know we are FBS? Gosh, is our branding that bad?

Anyone else notice the way DW is gripping the ball. Maybe just a fluky picture. I dunno, even with the gloves, using the laces is pretty basic stuff.

Another explanation could be the reporter is lazy and clueless. Conference affiliation if he bothered to check would have been a clue. We have done a pretty good job branding the program.

We've never been an FCS team in any of the games we've played against them.

Another explanation could be it was a typo and no copy editor picked it up.

We do not have the FBS players to compete with these 4 and 5 star athletes. Until we start recruiting and getting FBS caliber players we will continue to look like a good FCS program. Just because we are in CUSA and just because we have 85 scholarship players, does not make us FBS caliber.

A. it could have just been a warm up throw. B. there's not always time to find the laces. They practice throwing without them sometimes.
