It'd be great if the Huskies bounce back big and prove most of us wrong, but I gotta think we go something like 6-6 this year, no MAC Champ game or bowl. WMU looked way too good, it's their year..as odd as PJ is, results matter and right now it shows his style is working.
Hare missed his targets consistently and galloday made him looks good twice. I hope that was rust because they blitzed him all night and Hare didn't look good most of the night. (First td to galloday was a beaut.)

Agreed. Their Linebackers and safeties blitzed allnight and we waited until the final drive to use crossing patterns and slants in the middle. Once we did we moved the ball well.

Exactly what I was thinking... that's a huge adjustment.
They needed to wake them up at midnight for a 4 hour practice. Smh.

I did hear Ben Leroy once.
Sanders got a hands to the face penalty at a crucial time.

Still hard to prepare for delayed start time and the game going OT.
Do you think Wyoming typically plays games and practices after midnight? Both teams faced the same difficulties. This excuse doesn't hold water

I don't get what happened to the Oline. Maul Ohio State last season, look weak against Wyoming this year

RE: Sky is not falling position...
When NIU is out talented on the field, coaching is conservative. Becomes more so when keeping it close, even if out played, until you can't.
In games where NIU outclasses the opponent, it is conservative for the most part (albeit I think it opens up more)with the thought that talent on the field will win out. That opponents gimmicks will be overcome, their luck will run out, they will create errors...forced and unforced.
Yesterday, or this morning I guess, NIU was getting beat by a team that was outplaying them. Had more talent in matchups, namely vs a depleted secondary. That NIU was rather lucky to be in the game.
What I don't get was the decision to not go for 2 in the 2nd OT. You needed to admit to yourself your were lucky to be in this position, your luck will run out, need to take advantage of even being there, such as when you are the dog.
Now, even if you think you are the better team, more talent and just playing bad you go out and prove you are better, prove you can get 3 yards and will get on that plane after 4am and going home as happy campers. You were going 1st in the 3rd OT and had the pressure. Had had to score, get 2. In any circumstance you were relying on a defense that wasn't playing well, was depleted in the secondary, tired to win a game.
I really hope the only thought with an iota of quasi logical reasoning was the fumble on 1st and goal from the 2 in the previous attempt. Couldn't have been hoping for another missed K (although NIU needed one in #3) or penalty to call back a td.
And about that pass on 1st and goal......

Yes 7 is quickly becoming the best case scenario, the new basement is 3.

Sky is not falling position...
Seems like the goal has gone from winning the MAC to getting into a bowl. If Saturday's/Sunday's play continues, we'll be lucky to get to a bowl - which, of course, we'll lose.
