The literal humor in me gets me every time ("allegedly holding up a female in a dorm with weapons"), and I can almost see a scene like this in "Airplane."

Maybe a better headline would be attempted armed robbery?

Yea, there are "bad decisions" and then there's armed robbery.

While not a fan of WMU - I will say I think PJ handled it appropriately and quickly. I also hope these kids get the help they need.

Like prison? I sure hope we aren't making these thugs out to be victims of some sort.

Yea, you have to have no empathy and no conscience to rob someone at gunpoint. They're a menace to society. Not a dig at WMU, just the 2 "players", if that's what you can call them.

Sad to see this with any young athlete. When something like this happens the test of a program is how the coach, AD and U president respond. In this case WMU responded swiftly and appropriately. Good for them.

There go two more from his championship recruiting class...

NBC, which is the largest station in the Tampa Bay area, did a two minute story during primetime regarding the two football players and the interview with the victim. It was a two minute segment, pretty sad!

Also made the ABC7 Chicago newscast over the weekend.

If these are the kind of players Fleck recruits, he needs to do better due diligence. His job may be on the line as I don't see the how the university can tolerate this type of behavior. I do not believe this is the first time something has happened over there with his players. Regardless of how his recruiting classes rank these types of kids are unacceptable and should not be admitted to college.

don't want to gloat because you never know what might happen to your program. But, I think you can see the effectiveness of our recruiting philosophy. Get to see and know the recruits and if they fit your profile as far as character and athletic ability you offer them regardless of star rating.
