He signed but isn't showing up on the Roster.
They usually wait until Freshmen report before adding them to the roster. What roster are you looking at?

Yeah that is a roster that was only updated with the early enrollees from February. Cade Mashburn is in Memphis. He tweeted about being moved in and settled last week

Observation
Based on GTG we signed 25 for the class which includes 2 long snappers. Preston Brady is a walk-on, which puts us at 24 scholly. Of those 24, 4 are early enrollees which count against 2016 (LB Russell, DB Green, DB Windham, and DT Hawkins).

Still sounds like 5 are in limbo regarding eligibility, if all get cleared we'd be at 25 schollies against the 2017 class:
DT Goodson
DE Harris
DB Long
DB Smith
OT Dale
Goodson is a Tiger

Freshmen wanting to get in the reps and weights, moved in last week for summer school. As soon as classes start (this week?) they can be officially added.

I know this isn't the proper area for this but there have been mocks that have R. Ferg as high (or low depending on how you look at it) as late 1st a rounder. I can literally see us going 12-2 (including bowl game). Can't wait! Hopefully we can get another year with Norvell but don't be shocked if this is his last year. It's interesting how the admin went after 2 totally different hires with basketball and football.

Word on the street is the Dude will go in the first round and he will be mid to top ten, they like the Dude's quick release and arm strength.
He won't fly under the radar like Kirk Cousins

If we win double digit games the P5 will be busting down the door to get Norvell.

You are so right about that!! Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope he stays around. If not we should go after the Oklahoma assistant!

Riley who Memphis was targeting will be Oklahoma's next football coach.

I was surprised that Riley wasn't getting more love last year. He had an amazing year, has tremendous arm strength, and has NFL size.

Considering he was working with new receivers last year.....it will be really interesting to see how he does with his second year working with players like Anthony Miller. This could be pretty amazing to watch.

What do you guys think Anthony Millers draft ceiling is? 3rd rounder?

Maybe. He's starting to turn a lot of heads so who knows?
He doesn't have great height, or speed, but:
1. He rarely drops a ball, and
2. He's always open.
Jerry rice had the same attributes. Miller might go far in the NFL.

I disagree on the speed part. How often do you see him chased down from behind?

Exactly what is his speed? I am not sure I have seen anyone catch him from behind and here is his high school track bio at CBHS. Four-year track and field letterman ... A 2013 Commercial Appeal Best of the Preps Track and Field Athlete of the Year finalist ... The 2013 Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Division II Class AA state 110m hurdles champion (14.44) ... Undefeated in the 110m hurdles in 2013 ... Also TSSAA Division II Class AA state runner-up in the long jump (22-11.75) ... Two-time regional 110m hurdles champion in 2012 and 2013 ... Holds school records in the long jump, triple jump, 300m hurdles and 110m hurdles.

DB Malik Smith
OT John Dale
TE Jared Edwards
*Anyone know if some are gray shirts or going JUCO?

RE: Memphis' 2017 Football Recruiting Class
DE Braylon Brown 6'5" 255 lbs just reported today!
It looks like (5) signees from the 2017 class are in limbo. I'm not sure if the following are gray shirts, prop 48, or heading to JUCO:
DE Elijah Harris
DB Alec Long
DB Malik Smith
OT John Dale
TE Jared Edwards
That being said, we've recently announced (3) late additions, which should consume part of the (5) schollies above from the '17 class. I'm also assuming we'll give one to LB/DB Austin Hall. This leaves 1 more for a late addition:
S Carlito Gonzalez
WR Tre Hamilton
DB Tim Gordon
DB/LB Austin Hall* (Walkon in '15. Started at STAR in '16)

Here are some updates about the (5) signees from the ‘17 Class. Please make any edits/comments. Would love to see them all in Tiger Blue next year!
DE Elijah Harris (seems to be prop 48, as earlier articles mentioned completing some academic work. His twitter page still says Memphis commit)

DB Alec Long (seems to be prop 48, as earlier articles mentioned completing some academic work. His twitter page still says Memphis commit)

DB Malik Smith (went JUCO route to Coffeyville, KS. Twitter page still shows him as a UofM commit)
https://mobile.twitter.com/lockup_2?lang=en
OT John Dale (went JUCO to EMCC. Hope we resign him. Monster frame)
http://sports.hindscc.edu/mobile/index.aspx?rp_id=2284
TE Jared Edwards (seems to be a gray shirt, as he had a 4.0 GPA in HA and his twitter pages is decked out in Tiger Blue)
