It s pretty late in the game to expect a top 100 recruit, thanks to Pastner bolting so late. Can't blame Tubby Smith for a rather bare recruiting class (comparatively speaking) this year.
But I do expect for this team to look light years better in terms of discipline, execution, and game management that anything Pastner ever put on the court. We will win some games this year we probably shouldn't, given the lack of talent and depth. And that always bodes well for the future.
there were a ton of grad transfers when he was hired though.

I don't get this argument. Why can't we have both?

We can. Tubby just landed here. You know any 5 stars that are available? Let me help, the answer is no.
Would you rather have josh or Tubby? If it takes you longer than a millisecond to answer that then...well...you've got bigger issues than who the coach is.

Add Buggs from Minnesota and this team can contend in the AAC.
Can we make the tourney next year? Should be fun!

Then again, those three programs were all in the NCAA tourney last year.
True, but those three teams combined have only been to two sweet sixteens. You want to recruit the same as them?
How many 2016 top 100 players are unsigned at this point that have a chance in hell of qualifying?

Dedric, KJ, Nick, and Broddie are not, though...they are highly rated players.

Pastner did sign flashy recruits. His teams had records that were disappointing.
Why not wait and see how Tubby's teams do on the court? I suspect that we will see much better results on-court than in recent years.

Glad to have Keon as our second unexpected addition. With Markel, Martin, Kessee, and Keon, our backcourt is beginning to look a little less shaky. Now, we just need to shore up the frontcourt. Come on, Buggs. We've got a spot waiting on you.

So just to be clear people are going to complain until Tubby signs like a top ten class right? Just want to know what to expect the next few years

Top ten classes never stopped people from complaining about the previous coach.

So this kid was committed to tech right? Tubby leaves and the kid decommits from tech and follows tubby to memphis.
I am sure some of you will voice your outrage at such low brow tactics. Did he take techs cotton candy machine too?
