I remember the old days when UC had a thriving fan board over on Rivals. Rutgers had a fan named "RutgersAl" who ran around continually posting delusional stuff like this. His best line was when he called Rutgers the "USC of the East."
It's nice to know that Tulane is basically the "Rutgers of the AAC."
I know that name. I've definitely seen him posting his insane stuff before on their rivals board

False, Les Miles knows that Tulane is a sleeping giant. He knows we are the only threat to LSU in Louisiana. He also knows we are just as big time as they are. Les miles is just sayin what everybody else is thinking.
you're a threat to LSU like an ant is a threat to a boot.

Seems to me he that he was referring to Texas A&M, etc as big football schools and that they do not partner with them and will not partner with Tulane now since they partner with A&M

Not sure if its been covered, but here's the background:
After satellite camps were re-legalized, LSU announced a camp in New Orleans with the Saints, and on the North Shore with Baylor. Now, Tulane under the ex Prez and ex AD would have been ok with this, probably even helped, hoping for an invite or table scraps. Thats old Tulane.
New Tulane responded by announcing they were hosting camps in Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette, and Monroe, "featuring" coaches from Texas A&M. Apparently we approached Ole Miss and Miss State too.
This made Leslie mad. Tulane should know its place right? He gave a pouty interview last week about every school in Louisiana is invited to their camps except "that school" who partners with out of state schools.
You'd figure that would be the end of it, but its not. He gave an interview today, and just couldn't help himself. First he said there wasn't any reason Tulane is the only school not invited. Then he said Tulane isn't invited because we didn't want to go. Then he started rambling about how LSU would be doing Tulane a favor and we would regret it, but LSU wouldn't want to partner with Tulane anyway. Why? Well he said this. "#LSU coach Les Miles: I don't see the advantages of partnering with big schools"
Welp, sorry CUSA/SBC Louisiana schools. LSU doesn't respect you. Only school in La they are worried about is Tulane. And now that we aren't being the good little subservient program, the school up the river is taking notice. Louisiana is LSU and Tulane. Always has been, always will be.
Now say ULL three times and watch them flood the AAC board again.
Nominated for Little Brother post of the year.
Does that also come with a pat on the head?

The difference between us is, I am a realist and call it like I see it. You Tulane guys live in fantasy world (along with the UH group) and love coming in here to construct an alternate reality where the AAC matters, the AAC is a power conference in disguise, bragging about being the 'best G5' etc. It's friggen hilarious to me.

You want reality?
"Tuberville, 61, just finished the third year of an original five-year contract at UC. Tuberville has made an average of $2.2 million per year. Contract figures are not immediately available on the extension, which would take Tuberville through the 2019 season at UC."

Thats nothing. Southern Miss and Auburn paid Ellis Johnson 1.6 million together NOT to coach their teams.

you're a threat to LSU like an ant is a threat to a boot.
Sometimes an ant can get inside the boot and leave a couple of bite marks so I dont know if that's a good analogy for Tulane and LSU.
Cheers!

There is no G5. It's G4. According to the guys you are referring to, the AAC is in the P6.
Cheers!

Sure is good the AAC added Tulane so the league could get an AAU school and its brilliant communicators with their persuasive arguments and all.
If I'm not mistaken, it's UCF's president who is to be thanked for getting the ball rolling on that, no?

UCF paid former OC Brent Key $700k for a job he never even started
But I feel like the wasted money champs has to be USF simultaneously paying 3 football coaches, 2 MBB coaches, and 2 ADs. They must have spent their entire "left behind BE member" paycheck on buyouts.

When Les said Tulane was a big football school I'm thinking he didn't use his sarcasm emoticon because he figured people would get it without any help.
