Not sure if its been covered, but here's the background:
After satellite camps were re-legalized, LSU announced a camp in New Orleans with the Saints, and on the North Shore with Baylor. Now, Tulane under the ex Prez and ex AD would have been ok with this, probably even helped, hoping for an invite or table scraps. Thats old Tulane.
New Tulane responded by announcing they were hosting camps in Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette, and Monroe, "featuring" coaches from Texas A&M. Apparently we approached Ole Miss and Miss State too.
This made Leslie mad. Tulane should know its place right? He gave a pouty interview last week about every school in Louisiana is invited to their camps except "that school" who partners with out of state schools.
You'd figure that would be the end of it, but its not. He gave an interview today, and just couldn't help himself. First he said there wasn't any reason Tulane is the only school not invited. Then he said Tulane isn't invited because we didn't want to go. Then he started rambling about how LSU would be doing Tulane a favor and we would regret it, but LSU wouldn't want to partner with Tulane anyway. Why? Well he said this. "#LSU coach Les Miles: I don't see the advantages of partnering with big schools"
Welp, sorry CUSA/SBC Louisiana schools. LSU doesn't respect you. Only school in La they are worried about is Tulane. And now that we aren't being the good little subservient program, the school up the river is taking notice. Louisiana is LSU and Tulane. Always has been, always will be.
Now say ULL three times and watch them flood the AAC board again.
