starting 2-0, with a P5 win over Kansas, would be great for Norvell and this team...get some momentum going into a big game with BGSU.
BG lost a ton of players off last year's team, including their head coach and QB.
so did we...
We won at their place last season and get them at home this year. They lost their successful young coach and their star QB just like us. We should be favored in this game and should win it.
Expecting to beat this BGSU team at home isn't expecting too much, IMO.
so it's not a big game? lol, OK...cause it sure looked like a battle last season, and we lost just as much as they did.

I hate that word. Makes me think of Joe Lee Dunn's second stint here.

I just hope we can stop teams on 3rd downs. That seems to be the bane of our defense no matter who the DC is.

I didn't say it's not an important game, but it's a winnable game. Barring a huge let down against Kansas, we'll be favored. It's reasonable to expect a W against this BGSU team at home.

Bowling Green lost a lot more than we did.
I think there's at minimum six wins on this schedule. Will probably get more if this team is remotely competent, which I have no reason to suspect it won't be.

Last year was one of those who has the ball last wins type of games. Hope this year is not another one.

I expect a tougher game from Kansas than BGSU.

Maybe because when we have it on Saturday, many people ask why it isn't on Friday night (and believe me, they do, at least on this board). The Spring game last year was one of the best attended I have seen in 45 years. I would encourage everyone to try to attend, but will not, lest I be criticized by smart-a$$es.
Believe being 10-3 and ranked in top 25 to end season before had more to do with last years spring game attendance than having it on Friday night. If we had been 3-9 instead then no one would have showed up be it Friday night or Saturday afternoon.
During the Spring Game before the 2005 season, coming off of two straight bowl games and having a DeAngelo for Heisman campaign in the works.... we couldn't pack out Rhodes.
Some things have FINALLY changed and one of them is that the support group for the program has grown. I think we would've had quite a few there regardless of the day or time of the game.
But seeing that many people there, and very supportive as well, really made the night for me.
