True, that the offense looked awful for the first 10 plays, or so. But, we gotta remember that this is a whole new staff and new QBs that have had 13 practices (I think). So, there is no way we can expect them to look as sharp as Fuente's offense after Year 3 with he same QB. Still, it was a bit disconcerting how they started.

Craft is the one who dropped the pass in the end zone from Brady but he played really good. Dorceus looked great. Oglesby is faster than 32 Darrel Henderson. There was a good crowd there. Had to be at least 12k

For those of us that were there for the LP illegal formation season start - yeah, it brought back really bad memories.

The difference was this was a scrimmage and that was the beginning of a season. Plus LP argued about it and our current coach lost his cool with his frustration targeted at the offense.

So should we look forward to basketball season? Oh wait....

UCF just had their first ever Saturday Night Spring Game...and had an entire day filled with free concerts, free Motorcross Aerial Show, 10 hours of Tailgating, etc...and drew a record Spring Crowd of 23,147 which was 3 times more than had ever shown up in the past.

Off the subject but could you PM me on anything you know about UCF online courses? I'll explain.

RE: Spring Game
My thoughts:

- real nice crowd. I'd say at least as many as last year, if not a few more. 10K range, my guess.
- offense started off really rough with early fumble and penalties. Once they settled in, they really got rolling. We'll score a lot of points this year. All three QBs played well, I think even Jason Stewart could start for several teams in the conference.
- O line & TEs have good size. Joey Magnifico looks like he has some potential-good size and gets up the field well. I think our size up will wear some other teams down.
- lots of RBs man. J. Henderson, Dorceus, Craft all looked good. D. Henderson has a spark. Cooper will be a finisher on the goal line and 4th quarter.
- WR - Millers moves have gotten even better! Oglesby had a nice catch and run. Very impressed with some plays by Hurd - has the size and strength to have a break out season.
- Defense - lots of guys out tonight, most will be back full speed in August, so no major concerns there. Does hurt to lose L. Brady, though. Kam Prewitt made some plays. Think we'll be better overall on D this year. Got a little worn down as the game went on. My guess is we need a little more depth up front, but I think we have some decent speed on D.

Great job by the University - fun was had by all.

Maybe because when we have it on Saturday, many people ask why it isn't on Friday night (and believe me, they do, at least on this board). The Spring game last year was one of the best attended I have seen in 45 years. I would encourage everyone to try to attend, but will not, lest I be criticized by smart-a$$es.

Believe being 10-3 and ranked in top 25 to end season before had more to do with last years spring game attendance than having it on Friday night. If we had been 3-9 instead then no one would have showed up be it Friday night or Saturday afternoon.

Kicking 2016 off right, my man. Missed you!

BUT, I'm guessing you weren't here tonight. He's about the 6th string RB now. Played the last couple minutes, but didn't even get a touch

Coop is going to be used more as an H-back. Be patient as there is still a lot of the offensive playbook to be installed.

I know players tend to enjoy Friday night b/c a lot have family come in for the game. They get a little more time with family on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Good point. As for fans, I don't think it matters much whether it is Friday or Saturday, but I do think it is better to have it at night rather than daytime. The Mid-South sun can be pretty hot in the Spring. As for myself, I wouldn't miss a Blue-Gray game for anything short of tragedy in my immediate family, regardless of what day, what time or what weather. Life is short - opportunities for experiencing Tiger football are precious.

Good crowd.
Number 7 should be qb.
I can do without that crap coming over the loud speakers. Especially during play.
Receivers need to look the ball into their hands. Lots of drops.
I'd rather have it on a Sat. More people can tailgate on Sat.
I feel like we are on a roll as a program.

RE: Spring Game
A few of my thoughts are different regarding the scrimmage in NASHVILLE. After watching the NASHVILLE scrimmage, I thought:
- Overall, both O and D looked organized considering it was just spring and early in the p rocess.
- Running game looked okay not great. But, cooper was definitely performing as well as any other rb on field.
- Young qbs looked good with pretty strong arms. I gave Ferguson the slight edge over Davis.
- Receivers had a few drops. But, there were several nice catches also.

My daughter commented on being glad it wasn't so hot compared to two years ago lol. We didn't make it last year due to work commitments

Tough break for a good kid that your daughter had to work last year and she couldn't provide you a ride to Friday Night Stripes
