Quote:Perhaps not surprisingly, Pastner doesn’t golf, finding the four or five hours spent on a course to be an unproductive use of time. He wants his assistants to believe the same.
“My first question to anyone I (might) hire is, ‘Do you golf?’” Pastner said this week. “If they say, ‘Yes,’ you can’t work for me, because that means five hours on a Sunday or on a Saturday. Can’t. Don’t want it. That’s for my assistant coaches. Any of my assistant coaches, if they’re golfers, not working for me.”

Same shtick he said at Memphis for years and most of you ate it up.

Just like how "awesome with an A" it was that he's texting recruits while his wife is in labor. ("Ohhh, what a tireless recruiter").

And I'm gonna remind them every chance I can. Funny how some of those posters have come out of the woodwork recently

after reading this, I'm reminded why I loved yesterdays rambling and boring introduction to Tubby...it was just Tubby being real, instead of a rehearsed and placating response. (he's a dear friend...they run good stuff...winning is hard)

Agreed. I was so sick of that crap.

The clown needs to learn to just stfu and answer questions honestly instead of all the spin and bs. He's the biggest liar I've ever seen. Way worse than Cal.

I still can't believe our good fortune that he's no longer our coach.

I give him no more than 3 years at GT....probably will fired during his 3rd season.

and would be rich as sin, and probably get a high level asst position, or a cushy TV gig...it's not so bad being Josh, lol

he could use a few rounds of golf, though...and a couple long island ice teas while he's out there.
